The balconeers deserve more than a token game though

Sophia Gardens is a venue that needs to be used, but not at the loss to the western counties that have served Glamorgan so well :(

The county turned its back on a lot of talent and heritage when it made the decision to stay away.

Quite right swim. I used to spend a lot of time following the County and loved St Helens. It's all gone to pot now. The fact that the Council hardly spend any money on St Helens hasn't helped.

I must admit a good day at the cricket is one of life's joys.

Vetch do you remember that dick head from Worcester on the Glam 606 board - cant remember his name now. I often think he was JH

I don't think that's anything to do with age - I Refer to it as being the man's privilege, but I'm always booed (for some reason?) when I say that at home...

"that dick head from Worcester on the Glam 606 board".
Ah yes,I remember him very well, glamexile.
It was very rare to encounter such hostility on the old cricket forum.
But I also remember him being well and truly flogged on more than one occasion, and then disappearing as suddenly as he had appeared.
I miss the cricket forum very much.

Valley,it's never easy being a Glamorgan fan,and I am an avid one by the way,but they have had their "days in the sun".
You need a thick skin,a sense of humour, and a great deal of patience to follow them.
They can take you to the pinnacle, and then, having raised your hopes, have you in paroxysms' of despair and grief, all within a short period of time.
If you don't like cricket then you cannot begin to understand what it is like to follow them.
But I love them dearly, much as you would an errant child.
I can't be angry with them for long, and when they stuff an English County, as they have this week, then all is forgiven, until the next game,of course.
