Defence was heavily criticised before the season kicked off but I reckon these first 2 games have proved otherwise. Confidence must be rocketing for Mignolet and that will eventually seap through the rest of the team. So far I think we've proven when the going gets tough, we'll bloody well dig in! In an attempt to get this thread back on topic... I don't think there is anything wrong with the defence, it is the protection in front of the defence that is of concern. Lucas needs competition and the squad needs depth in the DM role. IMO, our number one priority should be a DM.
In turn that will improve the midfield as it will allow Couts to move into midfield rather than out wide forward
I remember (history creeping back in) when we used to make subs to rest people not to change a game. BR does need to sort another DM and a CB, the rest of the squad IMO looks pretty bloody confident in what is being asked if them! Ps, if the name bother anyone, sorry but I thought of it so
