Thought could do with an F1 thread considering they're back from the 3 week break now. Hamilton took his 4th pole in a row at Belgium - starting to look good in his car now he's got to grips with it. Just need to convert the one lap pace into race pace and could possibly make a late challenge for the title this year.
Good idea IBWT, I'm a big F1 fan though. Great pole lap from Hamilton today in the wet, felt a bit bad for di Resta and Force India though who thought they were sitting pretty with two minutes to go and rain apparently set in.
I have no problem with this, especially since we have a cricket thread too, but you do know there is a motor racing section on the forum don't you?
That pole lap for Hamilton in the wet is immense. If he loses the back of the car he would be badly injured. Right on the limit.
Nah, they're too busy fiddling with set squares and CAD or playing Scalextric to post on the real F1 forum. Would be fun to have some banter on here.
It is, but Mercedes have looked good the last few weeks. Hopefully someone at least puts a challenge on Vettel, if he goes and wins it at a canter again will make for a boring season.
Well his main objective is catching Vettel who at the moment isn't getting faster, the Red Bull is still a quick car but Hamilton in the Merc is quicker right now and improving in a car that he hasn't fully got to grips with but in his hands has more potential than ever. I think it's going to be tight come the end of the season. I hope Lewis can push him because I don't really have much time for Vettel, he's had it easy for all his World Champs in the fastest car in a team with enviable resources, he also represents another few years of dominance by a German driver. The sport had enough of that with the Schumacher era.
