I'd stick our second 11 out against Man City next week.

Let's face it, it will be a damage limitation exercise regardless AND some of the second team need a run-out to show Bruce what they are capable of.

    **** off.

Same team should be there. After that sensational performance they deserve it.

    Silliest comment of the day!

These players need the experience of having played the two hardest away games of the season as soon as possible,

That will serve us well for the season ahead.

That's how people felt before THAT -game at the Emirates. Lest we forget at that time the 23/1 offered for City that day was the longest single match win odds ever offered in Premier League history.

    So no, you're talking ****e.

Imagine if we'd had that attitude when we went to the Emirates or White Hart Lane.

Think about the fans who've paid £41 a ticket, the players some of whom joined the club for these kind of games, there are many other factors as to why this is an utterly ridiculous idea.

Fair enough against Orient on Tuesday, but not Man City.

I agree, why put out a second string, that may get beat 6-0 which will do our goal difference a lot of good, he said sarcastically .

Believe me, I would love to be proven wrong... but Man City's performance against Newcastle was better than Chelsea performance against us.

Very good point on the Goal Difference.

That could have cost us last season. It means a lot more this season though.

Premier League rules wouldn't allow us to do it anyway as that was Holloway did a couple of years ago and landed a heavy fine.

    It was just a thought!

So you'd rather us use our reserves, get absolutely smashed and **** up our goal difference?

    No thanks.

    Look at Villa.

They almost got 4 points off Chelsea and Arsenal.

If they have a **** day then you have a chance.

Also worth remembering Norwich won 3-2 at the Etihad last season, we just beat Norwich, I think you see where I'm going ...

Man City weren't that good, Newcastle were very poor and had a man sent off. Man City were decent, but not amazing.

Yeah. Look at what happened to Chelsea and Man City when they came to Southampton last season. They had ****e days, and 6 points went to the "relegation fodder".
