To be honest, I completely agree. Thought graham did a very good job today. If only George Boyd's pass was better eh?...

The question is... Do we need strikers or creative midfielders?

We arnt exactly creating many chances to score so its very hard to judge the strikers we do have. There's 2 ways of looking at it, we either try to get hold of a quality striker who can create something out of nothing (like benteke does for villa) or we invest in the best creative midfielder we can afford to partner Huddlestone in midfield and create chances for the likes of Sagbo, Brady & Aluko.

Id like to think we need both a striker and a midfielder, someone like Koren but younger and with a few more tricks.. Cant afford both though so id be happy with either..

    Tricky one for SB..

It looked like DG wasn't watching the ball; wasn't moving fast; and didn't react fast enough.

Huddlestone and Livermore look brilliant in central midfield, Koren possibly just played his best game for us, Meyler and Quinn as back up, I don't think our midfield have anything to worry about, we just lack a finisher.

Huddlestone is our 'creative midfielder' and has the ability to ping balls left right and centre pirlo-esque.

Aluko looked class today and played much better when playing down the centre rather then on the wing as was the case vs Chelsea.

Bring in a quality forward with Aluko playing the supporting forward and we will do fine.

    4-4-1-1

    ....................McGregor

    Rosenior - Chester - Davies - Figueroa

    Elmo...........Thudd - Liver........Brady

    .......................Aluko

    ..........................?

With the way we are set up we seem to be Playing with only 1 up front surrounded by two creative midfielders in Aluko and Boyd. We need pace, I'm sorry but our 4 strikers Sagbo, Prozzy, Graham and Fryatt have got to be the slowest in the league.

Three of those strikers are pretty similar, hold up strikers with (in theory) strength to compensate for lack of speed. So I think we could now to with someone running behind the defence.

a decent striker and we'll be laughing, i said before the game our midfield should dominate norwich midfield and it duly did, such calibre of players we now possess up there, our defence is notch too, but comparing the forward lines,we just need that lethal finisher and this team can push mid table imho

It's still early days with Sagbo and Graham but there weren't many positives for either of them to take out today.

I fear Bruce's hands are tied anyway. The budget he has won't buy us any better than the players we already have.

Maybe in the next week if the big boys get busy there might be someone available on loan. £30k per week off the wage bill for someone who isn't going to play makes sense. Look at the difference Lukaku made to WBA last season.

We need a striker that can make Premier League runs, to get on the end of the Premier League passes from Thudd and Livermore.

Yes, we need another striker. Sagbo was a bellend for getting himself sent off like that.

But can we attract them to City is the main thing?

I hope Sagbo gets more shots on target than he does heads, that butt was terrible, Mendy could teach him a thing of two and no mistake.

    He's like Altidore the second.

I expect Brucey will be on the lookout for another attacker.

More so after Sagbo's sending off.

Graham was innactive when he came on. I dunno if it meant he knew he'd be starting the next few matches, but he wasn't good at chasing the ball or keeping it up.

Ohh FFS, not again! Bad attitude IMO.

Ohhh double FFS, last season was desperate measures when we had no Fryatt, even SB will realise there was no threat when they played "up front."

Cheeky loan bid for Ba or Defoe if either bring in another striker prior to deadline
