I think so, I know it's early days and our current crop should be given a chance, but I just feel it could again be our Achilles heel, which would be a shame because the rest of the team are really shaping up.
I think most teams are always looking for a new striker. Not sure we have the required money left to get what we need. Centre back still worries me. Chester started poorly bit thankfully grew into the game. Then when Davies was down injured, I looked at the bench and shat myself.
"It's Bruce or McShane", I said to my mate at that moment, maniacally wringing my hands together and breaking out in a sweat.
Surely Figueroa would move over and Brady drop into left back? Dudgeon would be a better option than Bruce, but he's got no chance unless SB adopts him!
Think its harsh to judge Graham in the last 2 games, against Chelsea he has no chance and only 10 mins in this game. I think he would do well with a parter upfront. Still think we need a striker who has bags of pace and runs in behind defences.
Leaning towards yes, but the ones we have haven't really had a proper chance (well, if you count Saggers getting himself sent off) - want to see Graham, Sagbo, Proschwitz and Fryatt play a few matches against non-top six sides. I'd say we could give a fairer evaluation of the striker situation after the West Ham match. Depends on if transfer deadline panic sets in I suppose. We've lost our first match back in the Prem to an excellent Chelsea side and a won a match against Norwich with 10 men for 70 minutes. Let's keep things in perspective.
Yes. We won the match today despite our strikers, not because of them. Though I don't understand all the Graham hate, he seems alright to me. Sagbo hasn't impressed me though.
After one home match and one away you can say that about Sagbo ? I do think he may come good but too early to make sweeping statements like that ! By the way , he wasn't impressed with you, either. UTT
