Thought Boyd did well when he came on. May well be that he is given a chance up front soon. Huddlestone did tire. What is the situation with Gedo, is he in full training. Think like another poster he could do good-he certainly showed it last year. Great result, shame about Sagbo not sure where he will go from here. Time for Prozzy? As the commentator pointed out we gave the ball away too cheaply especially in the beginning of the game.
Pleased with the resilience of the team today. It was a scrappy game to be honest and aside from the penalty neither side looked like scoring. Ref was abismal. We really do need the strengthen up front. I don't mean some unknown french kid, rather a proven goalscorer. Team ratings McGregor - 8 Figueroa - 6 Chester - 8 Davies - 9 Elmohamady - 6 Huddlestone - 6 Koren - 7 Livermore - 6 Brady - 6 Sagbo - 3 Aluko - 7 Graham - 4 Boyd - N/A Rosenior - N/A
How poor were Norwich? I thought they were worse than most the Championship teams that came to the KC last season. They were ****. Our 10 players kept them at arms length quite comfortably. Majestic team performance from 10 men - I couldn't give a MOTM.
Agreed, we were simply dreadful today. Very reminiscent of a number of truly terrible performances both home and away last season. Someone mentioned on another thread on your board that Chris Hughton seemed to have divided opinion of the Norwich supporters and based on the evidence of today, it's not hard to see why. Even if it was the players at fault, why were most of them not at the races today (not wishing to take away anything away from Davies and McGregor)
Wouldn't be surprised to see SB move Brady up top with Aluko against Man City. He seemed to wake up to the fact at the end of last season that Brady is a striker when Sir Alex told him. Give Boyd a start at LW with Dudge on the bench as back up. Graham and Proschwitz don't have the speed and movement to trouble the top teams and Fryatt will be gone soon IMO.
And in other news, what's going on with the tv screens in the concourse? Half the screen was taken up with adverts. Needed binoculars to see the scores!
My point being that he didn't start against Norwich today and came on at a pretty tough time, he did start against Chelsea, yes, but they were bloody awesome, as Man City will also be next week, and judging him on those performances is not the right thing to do
An excellent view indeed and McGregor will definitely need to respond to this and explain why he has a Big Mac stuffed down his shorts - unacceptable.
I think Prozzy would have scored today, he has a knack of just being in the right place, accepting that he isn't the fastest player. Its difficult to try someone out in the Prem though, everything is so fast. Really enjoyed the game though and there wasn't one moment when I felt Norwich would score. Good atmosphere as well. Glad football is back.
Disappointing to see that yet again we can't get players into the box when attacking. Countless times Brady, Thudd and Elmo produced delicious crosses into the box only to find no one had made an attempt to get in the box. Sort it out.
If you are on about those two boxes, they are for Sky Sports and BT Sport coverage. If not, just ignore this!
My mate gave me a lift home from KC to Sutton Park after the game. On the condition that I go onto a City message board and complain about the tannoy's in the East Stand... Job done. Is that Okay T?
What you couldn't hear Trev....No don't believe it.. I'm in the East Stand and the less I hear of Steve Jordan the better.
