We would of settled for a point before the game yes but we wouldn't of at half time or after 65 minutes. Again this team is incapable of holding onto a lead. Fairly frustrating
I know it's early days but it seems more of the 'same old same old' to me. All our good work in attack being thrown away by our ****e defence. Been the same since GJs last 4 months at AG and either nobody seems to care or they can't work out how to change it.
Who gets the blame this weekend then, no LF in defence so hes blameless, so come on who do you blame this time!!!
Blame is a strong word, There was effort today but our side find it hard to keep hold of the lead. This needs to be sorted. Every league game this season we have either took the lead or got our selves back into the game. Only for some strange reason, We would immediately shoot ourselves in the foot. Point away from home is good. How we went about getting it wasn't.
Well you could blame SB for not scoring three goals. Jet for not scoring at all, SOD for picking the wrong team, yes that will do, SOD for picking the wrong team.
We've took a point from a team 9 places above us in the league away from home, I think that's great, well done SOD and the boys, I'm off for a few pints, feeling quite happy, tonight I'm not a happy clapper but a happy fella...
Most of us would have taken a point before kickoff but regrettably the same old problems rear their ugly heads. It would be interesting to see the stats for the worst team at giving away goals, and points, in the last 15 minutes of matches and I would hazard a guess that we are near the top, or possibly even the champions. Anyone want to take that quest on?

'Every league game this season we have either took the lead or got our selves back into the game. Only for some strange reason......' It's not strange at all Shiny, we're not good enough and we have to admit it. Just listened to SOD's interview. I'm sorry the bloke drives me nuts. Moaning he doesn't have this player or that - FFS he's brought in half a dozen or so - how many does he want. If truth be told then perhaps his choice of addition is not up to it. Serious doubts over Wagstaffe and Fielding who played today. Pack can't get a start and Wynter didn't deserve a start after his Wolves performance. If more truth be told I'm convinced SOD doesn't have a clue who his best team is. Take midfield for example. Started with Kilkenny, dropped. Then Wynter, dropped. Pack, dropped. Elliot scores, gets dropped now reinstated. Now it's Reid and Bryan getting a start. Oh - Hokey Cokey, Oh - Hokey......
Perhaps this is why I work in IT rather than manage a football team, but the problem seems very clear to me the fing DEFENCE. In the old days when we were hard to beat, under GJ, Louis Carey was having his final season as stalwart captain and he marshalled the back 4. When his legs started to fail him we didn't replace him and began leaking goals ( around the same time some people were distracted by the LJ rubbish). Things were still poor and we were sliding until we got Caulker in - what a difference - he saved us that season. Sadly he left and wasn't replaced and our steady decline was always on the cards. It's such a shame because in Heaton we had a fantastic keeper - he must have been so frustrated. I know I sound all doom and gloom when perhaps a point away is good - but this is LEAGUE 1 FFs (or Div 3 really) and I'm more disappointed about the manner we concede - its like 'déjà vue' - I knew somehow we would concede after going ahead.
Ain't this what you blamed Del for as well?? ****sake we are not football managers, we don't know what the players are like might be carrying slight knocks etc. The only thing I blame SoD for is preserving in Kilkenny but looks like he's learnt that lesson. Lets try and be supportive he ain't Jose Mourinho in front of the camera's but hey ho. Lets try and be patient and realise this ain't such an easy league after all.
Both goals came from the right side of defence, so it could be Moloney's fault, but I could not see so well from our end. Bobby Reid played really well and was always up for it, as was Joe Bryan. JB never gives up. I can see why people get frustrated with JET. For such a big unit he very rarely seems to get in the box. And when Baldock won the ball from knock-downs it went to their defenders as he was always a long way away. Wagstaff didn't do anything for me today. And why we brought on Harewood with 10 seconds left on the clock is a complete mystery. Does he get a 'draw bonus' or something? And Flint was MAGNIFICENT in the centre back role. He was everywhere. And finally, it was easy to park, and the missus spent 2 hours in the shopping centre next door, so probably the best away trip for us both ever. A key reason we didn't win was the referee who didn't give the clearest penalty you will ever see. He didn't want to give any decisions all day, and was very weak.
