We were ****e going forward, we couldn't create anything. God knows why Hughton selected such a physical midfield to stand off Huddlestone and co. Why the **** didn't Olsson come on? I think there was mistakes in Hughton's decisions today.

That was a chance for three points on our day we could of had them, but we royally ****ed up!

I actually feel sorry for RVW because his supply line has a shot when they feel like it and fails to spot forwards in space

So who is going to take responsibility for this? Don't give it the time to gel not our day that was piss poor.

Was prepared to not be too disheartened if we lost.

That was before we were playing 10 men for an hour.

Could've played for another hour and we'd still not have found the net. Long season ahead I fear.

Hull was very poor, didn't look like scoring, was just that dubious penalty.

Thought we were the better team and created some chances, but was very poor at taking them. Think the Ref didn't help setting the tone to this game either.

We will have better games, I suppose you have to give Hull some credit, they kept their shape and sometimes when a team down a men, it's not easy getting passed a 10 men wall.

players have to take responsibility. Too many of them were playing terribly for hughton to sub them all!

Disagree completely about Hughton. The starting line up was correct, Olsson still looked off the pace last week. Right decision to put Snodders on, but he was completely off the pace. Brought Hoolahan and Elmander at the right time. It makes to sit off when we're away from home. The major issue was the in the second half our entire team was walking. In a sense, the only error Hughton made was taking Johnson off - at least he shows a bit of heart. It was the right time to take him off given he is our out defensive midfielder, though.

All round dreadful performance, even the poor refereeing doesn't make up for it.

Nobody would complain about a point on the road, and that is exactly what was stolen from us by the referee. Maybe three had we been given our penalty.

Same problems as last season, play away play rigid across the middle defensively, get a goal down off an unlucky call and we are on the back foot, changes made to late and by that time frustration had already set it along with a 10 man hull defensive lineup.

at home we will play better, there is stark difference in our styles in playing at home and away, i would rather go all out attack away and lose than lose watching that pile crap.

Firstly the midfield selection was wrong, and with that selection Hughton should have instructed them to press and hassles their midfielders. That didn't happen in the first half at all.

I don't really understand why Garrido stayed on as well, Olsson has pace to burn and El Homady doesn't have the best positioning for a full back, I felt there was space to exploit down that left flank. Finally the decision to take off Redmond was suspect. That ball he played in to RVW, who than cushioned it to Tettey, proved he had the creativity in the midfield and could help create something.

One other thing that rankles me is the decision making in midfield and getting used to RVW. When Howson and Redmond had their long shots saved, look at the replays of how RVW found space. If one of them will have found him he would have had a one on one. His movement is superb and it's evident how he loses his marker and finds space when Howson opted to take a long shot instead.

Overall it was a dreadful performance overall, players were **** just as much as the management team.

We need to seriously work on our passing. It has been quite frankly terrible so far. I'm sorry but if RVW sole contribution is one header a game then we have just pissed 8mil up the wall. Mistakes in every aspect of our game. We are meant to be improving, and yet we barely had a look in against a ****e Hull with 10 men. Very poor to say the least!!!

I will stick my neck out here a bit - why do we keep on playing him? I have not rated him from day 1 (with the exception of the odd game). His crossing is pants, he was supposed to be a free kick speciallist but doesn't get a look in as Snoddy is better, he barges in to opponents far too often and gives away free kicks, so why does CH keep playing him? Don't say we do not have another left back, we just got rid of one.

Very frustrating. Questionable penalty and I didn't see the sending off incident but the commentators on my stream said it was right. It reminded me of our game at Sunderland last year, but too often casual and slack passing gave away possession. I thought CH got the substitutions right. Snods at halftime for BJ restored the balance, but he wasn't at his usual best today. Elmander was also a good substitution and he seemed to fit in well. Rvw's header brought out a great save, but it was just one of those days. There were some good indications, but it was all frustration in the end.

I agree with this and I think it is only a matter of time until Olsson takes his place.

Well, there goes my dream of a wonderful start to the season and City being the dark horses for Europe. Why are we so awful away from home against limited sides?

I wouldn't call it sticking your neck out, I really can't come up with an argument as to why he should be included. I don't know if Olsson is unfit or something, but even then I'd have rather seen a back 4 of Martin-Bennett-Turner-Whittaker.

I agree, I remember after the spurs game away when we'd just signed him people were getting really carried away. He's neither good defensively or attacking apart from the odd good ball. Wish we could have got mad marc firing again cause he was class before he got injured first season in prem. Hopefully Olsson plays next week.

I would, as I dare say it will touch a nerve with one or two who have a better understanding of the game than I do <laugh>
