matt mills emnes in january as i heard he is out of contract next summer so get him cheap van anholt (loan) and another striker as back up

Realistically I'd go for; Back-up goalie, no idea who Matt Mills - Buy Patrick van Aanholt - Loan Josh McEachran - Loan? Probably feature a lot for Chelsea next season, so maybe a little out of reach Jimmy Kebe - Buy Jonathan Soriano - Buy Carlos Vela - Loan

was looking on the PFA Players list of all the players that have been released etc and 2 names that popped out that I thought could do a half decent job were Ibrahim Sonko - CB (30 y/o, just been released from Stoke) and Jonathan Spector - RB (25 y/o, just been released from West Ham) What does everyone else think? As for other players that could be good additions: Defence - Matt Mills, Luke Chambers, Jack Cork, Jack Hobbs or Van Aaholt (on loan possibly) Midfield - McEachran (loan), Tyson (adamant he is leaving Forest after way they are treating him over new contract) and McAnuff Strikers - Graham, Vela/Sturridge (on loan), Jonathan Soriano (looked at him after someone mentions him on another thread...looks v.good)
I'm down for Hobbs , mentioned him a few times the summer we came up from League 1 . Another young wasted soul at Liverpool , had a rough loan run from Liverpool , especially with Scunthorpe who took him on loan in a January & sat him the whole time . Things some of these young " Top Team " reserves must endure .
My choices would be. Mills - Reading Rose - spurs. ( see he has played as a winger and at full back) so could be cover there. Sturridge _ Chelsea we do need cover at keeper. Dont know who. Jack cork not a bad shout either. also Wade elliot is out of contract at Burnley. He is a quality wide player and would be a nice alternative out wide.
Goalkeeper we should maybe look into the loan market, there´s bound to be someone available, if not here then on the continent. Mills I like the look of a lot, similar to Hobbs, to be honest I´d be tempted to go with whoever we could get for less out of the two! Sturridge would be quality but his goalscoring exploits for a (newly football friendly, don´t forget) Bolton could put paid to that. I wouldn´t be surprised to see him either start some games for Chelsea or get a fairly big money move somewhere else. Jack Cork would be quality though!
If you believe what Leighton James says we will be needing a starting goalkeeper for next season as he reckons De Vries ain't PL quality. WTF is he on about.
Leighton James, the most stupid lollipop man in the west! I remember the best article he ever wrote, for me, was all about how Martinez needed a "plan B" as we´d never stay in the Championship with all this fancy football. Leighton, there´s a reason you now work in a non-skilled, non football job. That reason is that as amazing as you were on the field, I know types of moss which have a greater tactical appreciation for the game of football than you do.
Think fergie is planning to use Welbeck this season. Remember reading that Man U turned down a £7 million bid for him in January so if he aint staying at Man U then Sunderland it is likely to be for him, but I agree would be a fantastic signing
Well , here's my 10 million huw . 5 million bid for Crouch , highly under rated & underplayed & would be a joy to have in the box at either end for corners . 3 million for Daniel Agger , again under rated & under payed brings the ball up field superbly . 2 million for Mouhamadou Dabo from Sevilla . Can play left or right back & I'm already in contact with them .
