I have had a little each way with my winnings on one in the last at Windsor this evening. If you are betting there it has pissed down all afternoon. My dabble is on NEWTOWN CROSS 50-1 7.45. This race is 3 furlongs further than it has faced before and looking through the form it could just be the sort of test that is required. Breeding doesn't suggest that but his runs have. Is in here off a really low mark and not a great race.
5.35 York Threes Grand 10/1 looked as if she was coming back into her own with a strong finishing 4th at Doncaster LTO and she's well handicapped on some of her form. 3rd in the Hillary Needler as a juvenile, she finished 3rd off a 9lb higher mark in a better race than this back in April before a string of disappointing efforts saw her bounce back with a much more encouraging effort LTO. Tim Clark, who I've been fairly impressed with recently, takes a handy 5lb off and the jockey gets down to a featherweight of 7-11 which is 2lb below his lowest weight in the last 12 months (no idea if thats easy or not). A winner on soft ground on debut, I think she has a very live chance her for Scott Dixon and hopefully she can land just her 2nd career success.
Might aswell try the last 2 at york. 5.00 Rockalong (win) Love Marmalade (ew) 5.35 Normal equilibrium and Mayfield girl
