Need to get Tettey off at half-time for Elmander, or Snods at least. Tettey has been awful and regardless, we don't need four central midfielders on against ten men when we're a goal down.
Yeah but it's a striker that's gone off so it's not affected them that much. Flow of the game is all ****ty, need half time really re-stock
Largely because we're giving them dozens of free kicks in really dangerous positions. And everyone back defending them.
I would definitely make a change half time mess up their preparations, think wes or snoddy could make the difference.
Need an attacking sub at half time now and start to turn the screw. You'd never know we had a man extra.
I think Tettey made a fair few interceptions at crucial times, just caught between going forward and staying back. If he's just sitting I think he's had a better game than Johnson would get how son alongside him and snod as proper width on the right. Then perhaps elmander to buy a bit of space for RVW as fer and rvw not been involved.
Howson has been the one that has looked out of place. Need Snodgrass on and put howson in the middle initially. Then Hoolahan and Elmander to add the passing/creativity and physicality dimension. Hull will defend now, it will be hard to score "Ghouls"
Garrido has been dreadful, Tettey even worse. Howson is not a wide right midfielder. After starting well, Fer has become anonymous. And yes, it was a very soft penalty, but Turner is having a shocker and should never even have given the ref the option there. We're being outplayed by ten men and look like we haven't woken up. At least we know we can improve. The only reason we have a chance of getting anything from this game is because, fortunately, one Hull player is a complete idiot. The ref has been absolutely appalling - I've never seen so much diving being given as fouls and how Davies didn't get yellow carded I'll never know. This is the perfect game for Hoolahan, I just hope that Hughton gets on with a substitution early for once. Leave Redmond on for a bit though. I thought Hull's keeper and left back have been very good, while Huddlestone has absolutely bossed it.
Redmonds nearly scored twice and Fer once. We dominated the first 20 odd minutes and the penalty/Red card has disjointed the game. I don't think we are out of it yet.
After a brightish start, it is very flat now. We don't look at all threatening to be honest. Never a penalty, and Turner gets the same treatment a few minutes later and there is nothing doing. Not seen red card so can't say. Garrido, Johnson been pretty poor. Redmond has been very lively however. Let's not lose sight that even though we been poor, we are only losing to a shocking penalty award and we have key players injured. So many fouls breaking up the game has to be good for Hull.
