Say what you like about Rafa but I guarantee with him as manager that you'd finally get your first European cup.

I'm not wumming I just genuinly think Rafa would work wonders with your team. Not like your last 5 managers have faired any better and made a European legacy for you. If Rafa had been given Abramavich amounts of money after the summer we finished second we would have gone on to even better things. Won in 2005 Cl final, reached final again in 2007. Sometimes the best manager isn't always the obvious option (Hiddink etc). Inter kicking him out after 6 months was a knee jerk reaction and he was always gonna have a tough time following in the shadow of their treble. But anyway, I think it would be a shrewd move if you got Rafa and I hope he doesn't go to you!
Not a chance do we want him at our club, hes far too much trouble and has now left his last 3 clubs under a massive cloud. He seems to be confrontational just for the sake of it, he was only at Inter for 2 months before he was questioning their transfers and demanding more money. He won in 2005 with someone elses team and a touch of luck. He did the same as Grant did in 2007 in getting to the final.
I'm inclined to agree on that aspect. He does have an annoying habit of not accepting blame and attacking owners. TBH though most of it came when owners didn't invest (like ours). I don't think he was given much money by Inter too? Whereas Abramavich has never denied his managers the money to make signings.
He denied Carlo last summer, who just got on with it. And Rafa spent plenty whilst with your lot, the amount of players in and out was incredible at times. I know he sold plenty to keep the money coming in, but you have to take into account the signing on fees etc.
The last two summers of his tenure he was given no money whatsoever, he had to sell to buy. Hence our drop in form. Before then yea, he spent loads, but he got results and made us a strong recognisable name in Europe as a result. TBH I'm not sure who you'll get as manager who's prepared to be humiliated after being sacked after a season or two - I don't know what more Carlo could have done, he got the double two season's ago and finished second this last season! Abramavich needs to have some serious patience with whoever he ends up hiring.
He did finish 2nd last season, but with the least points we have finished with since Roman came. We also went out of every cup comp with a whimper, which must have went against him. I hoped he would stay another season, but even I can see the reasons he got the tin tack. by the way, I cant believe the first conversation I`m having with an opposition fan has been so decent, I doubt it will last though.
Rafa is the only man who could bankrupt Abramovich, make Chelsea weaker and blame it on a lack of funds.
I'll take that as a compliment , but yea conversations on Not606, even wum ones, are much better than old 606. But basically the managers you're being lined up with, Hiddink/Hughs (?) are not gonna win you much in the first year or two. If city have shown us anything it's that money by itself doesn't win you stuff, a team under a new manager takes a while to get going.
I think Rafa would be a good manager for you guys, if he is backed with money, remember at Liverpool he didnt have much funding so had to buy players like Lucas.
