i think there were definate positive signs from the fulham game. we passed it around a lot better then last season and looked comfortable on the ball. we created a load of chances just didnt score

Should I remind you that Sunderland had a grand total of 3 shots on target? I think most team would feel unlucky to get nothing from a game with only 4 shots on target (as I am sure Sunderland feel).
