Just be told I'm not needed at work today. Whats the ticket situation for today's game like? Would I be able to get hold of a single ticket?
You should be fine for one ticket, plenty left last night, just get there fairly early. On the flipside of this, one of my staff has phoned in sick, not sure if I can make it now All depends on how busy/quiet we are this afternoon....fuming. Oh yeah, he's a Sunderland fan....go figure.
Adam Lallana on Sky: "I feel like I've grown with the club. Southampton is a special club and I can't see myself going anywhere else."
Absolutely delighted but I've managed to sneak a way of getting to the game today. Think it's going to be a pretty special day as it happens. I'll be the bloke on his own singing "Gimme Shelter"! I actually had a dream last night (genuinely) where we got the chant going and Osvaldo scored a hat-trick......
Being reported by local media now up north. Sunderland didn't kick off the fight though. Seems a group of chavs kicked off with a wedding party at the hotel, causing disruption at 3am. Sunderland players then got involved, (as did Di Canio - surprise!) in chasing them off and ending the fight.
According to the official twitter feed you can buy tickets from the ticket office right up until kick off. I am at work so it's listening on the radio for me and maybe hearing the cheers in the distance, when we score.... if the winds in the right direction.
I suppose you believe everything in the Echo as well? It just sounds too good to be true (like Anelka storming out of training or Wenger not playing AOC so he doesn't have to pay a small appearance fee) so it probably is.
Please don't tell me there are now football fans out there who don't go to games in a covered stadium because it might rain?
Not that you're cynical... I didn't realise that stating a fact such as that it is being reported and is now all over their fan forums meant that I said it was 100% accurate? I just said that it was and relayed the jist of it. I'm sure we will end up finding out if it is true. Di Canio probably won't sit quietly.
