I think the spuds did okay this window signing Soldado and Paulinho, the others for me are fairly average. The one player who would have given them some real quality would have been Willian, especially as is predicted, Bale is ****ing off to Madrid. For the money spurs have spent though, I'm not sure it's reflected in the value they've got. It's been a wildly inflated transfer window and Spurs have been pretty much mugged off in the prices they have payed. I guess they can afford to, with the fee Bale would command, but he would command that figure in any window. I think the Cavani deal set the tone this window and other fees have followed suit.

I don't think it is as bad as all that. It gets worse over the internet, where people talk big, but when we run into fans from other clubs in real life, it seldom goes further than banter. It isn't anything like what it used to be in the 70s and 80s.
