Some of the teams in La Liga like Athletico Madrid,Valencia,Sevilla in my eyes would push top 5 in PL.
But what have they shown in recent years to suggest that they would be good enough to do this? Very little. Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea are certainly better than those sides, Spurs, Liverpool and Man City are arguably better.
Once again the Premier League is miles above La Liga in every single way. The way its run, the teams on a whole. The standards, the competition and the interest in it world wide. All La Liga has going for it is Barcelona are currently the top side in the world. Thats it. With a fairer system in La Liga Barcelona would now be bankrupt and would be **** all because like Chelsea and man City they are one of the worst run football clubs in world football.
Seriously... Are you on something? La Liga is played at a testemonial pace week in-week out. As is Serie A Prove it then... Pretty much all you've said so far is Barca are better than United and Arsenal... How does this make La Liga a better league as whole? You seem to think the standard of the lower teams in Spain is similar to that of Barca... You can't use one team's quality and success to measure a whole league.

UIR Let him have his opinion... We all have different tastes in foootball.. There isn't a "right" or "wrong" answer, there are way too many variables, "ifs" and "buts" And unless all 40 teams join up into a mass league - opinion is all we'll ever have. The PL is more competitive - but is this down to a high standard, or a low standard?

La Liga has a better team, more skill and thats it. The better team aspect is unquestionable. the skill factor could be down to there being so many rubbish players that skill is easier to do where in the PL you dont have the time or space as defenders are on another level across the league. The PL has pace, power, competitiveness and on the whole better teams. Its fairer and its better to watch.
Variables, "coulds" and "woulds" like I said... And until evey PL team plays every La Liga team twice and a table has been constructed we won't know... I personally don't think La Liga is as good as people hype it up to be... and it's solely Barcelona and Spain's success that seems to have caused the hype. The top two apart, the standard is equal to Serie A football. You could chuck Lazio, Roma or Fiorentina into La Liga and they wouldn't look any less technically gifted than anyone in Spain.
