The RLF cannot possibly confirm that it's 23k tickets to FC fans, only that 23k(ish) have been sold to people from Hull. I posted on another thread, there's a few people I know taking advantage of the cheap travel and entry costs to have a look around Wembley Stadium. They've never been to a rugby game in their life.
That would be better if it were true, unfortunately it's not. No hidden agenda, I just thought it was a pit pathetic exaggerating attendances when you could have made the same point with the truth.
Okay then smart arse, how many city fans were at Wembley in 2008? Because the attendance was 86,703, and the both sets of fans are given equal numbers of tickets.
I have to admit I did exactly this when they played at the Millenium in 2005ish. We just went to have a look at the stadium since City were unlikely to be going there any time soon. The worst thing is City were playing that day and we missed it. I was about 12 though so it wasn't my decision. I think that makes it OK, right?!
What hidden agenda? I support both clubs and post in this board, if there's a thread on something off topic which I happen to be interested in I'll post on it. But as I like rugby don't expect me to conform to the irrational, bitter and insecure attitudes of some on here.
It is ruddy cheap. I know someone who was looking at going and he said a limited number of family tickets admitted 2 adults and 2 kids for £55. **** me that's ridiculous.
Both clubs get 36,000k initially, I think we managed to get a further 1,000 or so on top of that (I'm willing to be wrong on both of those but that's what I remember). The attendance is never a 50/50 split between the two clubs, there's thousands of sponsors tickets and neutrals there as well.
There was more than 37,000 City fans there. Stop trying to defend the rugby on this whole attendance thing.
Believe what you want. I'm not defending anything, just correcting mis-information. Ideally Hull FC would have taken more, but double your average home attendance isn't too bad, ironically that's roughly the same as City did.
Eh? How? They haven't sold what they were given. Oh, and you haven't corrected misinformation, you've replied WITH misinformation.
Again, how? They never even sold out their allocation. City playing on the same day has nowt to do with it - if people wanted to go to Wembley, they would've chosen it over City.
In an ideal world there'd be no ****er at the rugby and City would have a 40k stadium full. But there's no such thing as these 'ideal worlds'. So forget it.
So very true. Not bad with Wembley on the same day and time for the Dullers. Nobody cares about rugby league outside of the M62 other than in Catalan. Even London have lost interest in it. Lol. With walk ups on the day lets hope so. Should be a great game.
I always think the club are pretty poor at announcing this stuff. Last time we were in the Prem I knew loads of people who always fancied going but didnt bother cos they assumed it's sold out only to see 22k attendances afterwards.
