    i would have loved to have gone down but its the weekend befor payday so there was no chance. i remember making a trip down to pompy for a midweek game. thats was a ****in nightmare

    Was that the game where we sold out the away allocation for the Saturday, then at the last minute they switched the game to the Monday night and we still sold out our allocation? I was living in Portsmouth at the time and was gutted I couldn't get a ticket for the game. Still, at least it meant I didn't have to sit there for 90 minutes listening to the bell ringing bell end

    Aye that was the one. There was a few lads came in to the Wine Vaults on Albert Road for beers after the match. here's hoping we do a bit better tomorrow and get a result

    Going back a long way but was at Sunderland away in the late 70s when Keegan was playing for us and we won2-1. Anyone at that one?

    Wouldn't have been late 70's mate, maybe early 80's. I watched Keegan play for Hamburg against Dortmund in 79 but the match you are on about I think was 81. I might have been there if there are any impeding investigations.. <ok>..<laugh>
