    :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Defiant Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio has struck back at critics quick to question his Stadium of Light revolution in the wake of his side's disappointing start to their new Barclays Premier League campaign.

The Black Cats head to Southampton on Saturday anxious to claim their first points of the new campaign after falling to Pajtim Kasami's second-half header in their opener against Fulham last week.

Di Canio knows he has yet to convince some after his wholesale summer changes - including an entire team-full of new signings, a room-key lottery on away trips and bans on everything from Marmite to drinks with ice cubes.

I'm afraid it's got to be Bovril all the way for me.

Especially with the introduction of squeezy plastic jars to replace the glass ones where someone with my limited strength would have to throw half of it away because the lid became impossible to open.

Marmite has a high salt content and can affect the bodies of athletes in detrimentally in many ways apparently.

    Phil Bardsley pictured above

Phil Bardsley was seen mocking pdc as he posed dressed as marmite in front of a marmite tribute memorial, sources close to the club have said after his recent indefinate suspension that paolo actually kicked him to **** this time and that he is no longer in sunderlands record books.

Whilst wiping the blood from his hands pdc said "wadda u expect eh" "he a cross de line again and i a kickka he's ass"
