Agree with what is being said about the mods.

Any proper fan would happily pay £45 for the second half v Wolves.

Mods need to man up and support their local club.

CA the Robin heading the forum is associated with a section of City's support, a bloody minded section who are highly unlikely to share the views of this forums moderators.

If the emblem, logo was that of the supporters trust, that could be called into question as well given the less than supportive undercurrent.

    I found it intriguing.

    Wondered about the obvious juxtaposition.

Now we know " don't judge this book by its cover for it covers just another" ... Plagarised that thought from 1977.

    juxtaposition

    Definitions
    noun
(formal) the juxtaposition of two contrasting objects, images, or ideas is the fact that they are placed together or described together, so that the differences between them are emphasized

I had to learn that one..

I'm hardly negative about Bristol City in fact as a rule I'm too optimistic I tend to get overexcited when I see the first green shoots of recovery and can't wait until it is a full grown tree generally most football fans are like that or we wouldn't be able to cope with the disappointments that we get usually year after year. Supporters of Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelski(more recently)and Man Arab City(even more recently) would not understand fans of a club like Bristol City or even more so the Gas, Manchesters two clubs have shown a huge increase in people going to watch them since they became successful as with Arsenal and Chelski most of these so called supporters are in fact fair weather fans and as soon as the pendulum swings against their teams they will follow the next new superclub these are the sorts of people who don't understand the world that the genuine fan lives in. Every year we start off with loads of hope that perhaps this will be our year but every year usually it ends in disappointment.
As someone else posted here I have never booed a player in a City shirt but that hasn't ever stopped me thinking that he shouldn't ever have been given the chance to wear said shirt in some cases. Most of us go to matches to be entertained and in the hope that we will see our team win we have to work hard to get the money to go and watch our team play so why shouldn't we have the right to be agrieved when some of the players on the field look like it was almost too much trouble to even get out of bed let alone play for the club we support.
Of the two players who have had the most stick on here Fontaine and Kilkenny - Fontaine arrived many years back as a young player who seemed to be the classic cool headed CB but that didn't last long as soon as he was expected to be the senior member of the defence he fell apart slowly but surely and it just got worse until the last 3 years he has been generally awful punctuated by some short periods of playing well, which is what we expect from him most of the time, but he can't keep it up. Kilkenny a poor mans LJ neither can tackle neither can head the ball both can pass the ball but the difference for me was LJ kept trying Killa just moans at the officials and other players.
I don't claim that those two players were the sole reason we got relegated but their body language on the field was so poor it must have rubbed off onto other players and that did not do anything to try and stop the decline. We now have a generally young squad who are going to make mistakes what does not help is the senior players who seem to be struggling to show any enthusiasm for the game.

A good mixture there Hawk of Faith (positivity) Hope (good things going to happen) and Charity (not slagging the culprits too much) and hardly any intimation of the dreaded Negativity!

The content does not fit the identity. The moderators posting style likewise. Think Bernard Mathews sponsoring vegfest.

I can not stress enough the moderators have nothing to do with the Banner. If you have read what ive written, The banner was there before our site had a moderator. It was made by a member on here who was part of the BBC606 and highly thought of who sadly passed away a while back. Out of respect to him we keep it. If it bothers you that much then I will now make a new thread where you and others can vote if you want to keep it or not. Me, Wiz and Angelic are here to keep this place in order and keep the members happy, If it really does annoy the majority of our members then I shall PM wiz on what we will do next....

I really don't know where all this MOD bashing has come from <confused> Im getting pissed off with it all tbh.......

im shocked at some of the comments aimed towards the mods.

to the 'mr positives'..... do you ever get frustrated/angry/upset at watching city like after a defeat or poor performance? not every city fan or a fan of any club would be positive or upbeat after a poor performance/result. over 13000 fans who turns up at the gate and not every fan will be in agreement over everything. disagreements will happen. some people will be more positive.negative than others. a football forum allows you to express your feeling positive or negative. this site not606 allows you to comment - debate - create : FREELY.... meaning you are FREE to post what you want. look what it says in the top of the page in the left corner: comment - debate - create : freely. this applies to all INCLUDING mods.

these boards run in the manner the majority of members on each board want them to run. NOT how any Mod think it should be. the mod role is not given out to members to influence topics or act bigger than a non mod member. wiz, shiny, angelic and all mods on each board (including myself on the gas board) are fans of the clubs we love. we all joined this site as a fan of the club we love. we didnt join this site to be a mod. some people need to understand that mods are first of all fans. the mod role comes second.

we are entitled to show frustration with the players/manager etc etc if we are frustrated.
we are entitled to show anger if we are angry with players/manager.
we are entitled to be positive or negative.

again some people need to understand that mods are first of all fans. we dont get paid to be a mod. we are not employed as a mod. we are supporters/fans of the club we love. some mods were selected by the owner of this site when a board gets busy. wiz was selected for city 1st. if the board really gets busy the owner allows the mod to select another mod who can help. wiz was allowed to select 2 other mods: shiny and angelic, after careful consideration and they were perfect selections in my opinion.

the mod role itself which we have been trusted with is to make sure certain things like racism and threatening behaviour is not accepted and to keep the board tidy like move/merge threads as and when needed. that is it. we are just normal folk like non mods but have the abilty to keep the place tidy when needed. thats it. each day this site grows and the owner of this site has his own full time job and cant moderate everything himself. he believes in self-moderation which is why its pretty much anything goes and why he hasnt employed proper mods. so us mods do this in our own time to help keep this a place going where fans can TRUELY FREELY comment without a mod who dont even support your club who can delete something because they can. at the end of the day the mods are just ordinary fans, using the site for enjoyment like everyone else.

as for the pic of the robin, its symbolises something for your club. there are fans at each club who say "always believe" "never say die" etc etc but that dont mean you stay 100% positive 24/7 365 days a year. such a fan dont exist regardless of the clubs moto. ALL fans are allowed to show anger/frustration/negativity at times as thats the way that fan shows passion for their club as they want better for their club. they keep turning up game after game though "always believing" never giving up on their team.

would you rather show anger at the stadium or on a fans forum where you can discuss the issue with others?

if you dont like negative threads/comments then ignore them. if there is a member who you feel is too negative for your liking then simply click on that persons username to see their profile and on the left hand side gives you the option to add them to your ignore list so you dont have to see whatever upsets you ever again.

i would be saying all of the above even if i wasnt a mod by the way.

wiz, shiny & angelic, keep of the great work <ok> even though you are dirty reds ;) dont let some get you down. you cant please all 254 of your members at the same time even though you all love the same club and want the best for the club. you would think in that case you all should be in unison but not one single club out there has a fan base that all are in unison. keep your chins up guys <ok>

As a reader of that other defunct forum I think it was fair that posters pointed out how negative this forum is considering its chosen imagery. It's contradictory. The mods themselves maybe didn't realise that, but still fail to acknowledge it, something you have also repeated.
