I know abramovich is rich, but 30million just to stop Tottenham (who aren't even title rivals) from signing a player seems ludicrous to me. Mourinho must genuinely feel like he needs another winger. I think he must be about to let one or more of his AM's go out either permanently or on loan. If not then I am truly baffled. There's squad depth, and then there's taking the mickey!

I guess. Mata is better than Willian in my opinion though. I still find it weird the Jose doesn't rate Mata. (If the rumours are to be believed.) He is easily the best creative midfielder in the league for me.
They'll have Hazard, Mata, Oscar, DeBruyne, Schurrle, Willian and Moses for three positions (I think they usually play 3 AMs behind a striker). The quote today was they needed a squad of 22, two players for each position. That makes 6 so one of them is clearly on the outs. Mata is rumoured to be a makeweight for Rooney, but then when asked about that Jose denied they were looking to sell him and talked him up.
