I see. The need for extra this and that does not make itself felt upon you. This is the difference between looking at something subjectively and objectively. Does there need to a stadium expansion for me..? No. There's always a space for me when I need it. Why make the stadium seat more..? The hashtags I probably agree with, but then I have no idea in that subject area.
If I can come home for a week and pick up tickets on matchday no problem, despite only going to 1 game per year on average, we don't need an expansion. I understand that it shouldn't be hard to get tickets, but I don't believe the demand is as high as it would need to be yet. I'd rather they work on the area around the stadium first, ala the 'Southampton Square' idea or whatever it was called. If we qualify for europe two years in a row, go for it. 44,000 is more than we require right now and we wouldn't see a return on the expenditure. Developing training ground and other areas is more valuable.
I've seen no one *demanding* a 45,000 seater stadium - just saying we should be *planning* for one. There's a big difference. The first is stupid, the second is called being prepared.
He said we'd pay a player £100k a week wages when we had a 50,000 seat stadium and were in the champions league, which is not the same thing at all.
Why thank you Sir. Two reasons, 1. Two players don't make a team 2. Fulham parked the bus well and truly, one break led to one corner which they scored from. We didn't have enough in the center midfield to break them down, a weakness I expressed earlier. But Johnson, Giacc, Sess and Jozy will be more effective given space which they will get as you're so attacking at home. Should be entertaining like I said. Tough to predict an outcome let alone a scoreline.
Actually he said he'd never play a player 100k a week before having those ... which is not saying he would. Subtle difference.
Wasn't it to you that he uttered these things over the dinner table, FLT. If memory serves, you have been one of the invited.
Actually I believe he was asked if he would ever, and that was his response, so he is saying he would. Assuming I haven't misremembered as well!
Actually he said he'd only pay a player 100k a week when Nigel returned carrying a flaming sword and riding a purple dragon.
Apparently the more you think about something the more you get wrong...as we all add our own thoughts to the memory. If you remember something that was of so little importance that you hardly ever thought about it, that memory will be accurate. Weird but true.
Should have been clearer. Offensively our CM is week. Cabral (DM) is an absolute beast and has hit the ground running in pre season and against fulham. Bags of champions league experience and has always played well against british teams in Europe. Defensively I think we're sound in the middle. Would have said our fullbacks are the weak points. One is a cm and the other has just signed and we don't know much about him other than he did alright against fulham and he was our tertiary target. What seems to be your weakness this season lads?
