Data/Forecasting/Numbers monkey. I work out how many customers they'll have, how many staff they need, how much it all costs, blah blah.

It's easy but some folk think it's some sort of dark science and I get away with murder.

A bell curve is a way of showing data so idiots can make the wrong decision from it. It's dead popular as a "tool" for project manager types who use crappy things like minitab to hide their numerical inadequacy.

They're usually more time consuming to pull together than they're worth.

I cannae fire anybody - no even the wee useless guy that reports in to me. I tell them when to hire, though, and measure their stupid schemes to reduce how many folk we need in the future - then I get moaned at when other ****s spend money.
