Hoilett out but trio set to return for QPR Andrew Johnson 23/08/2013 By David McIntyre Armand Traore is back in the QPR squad and Alejandro Faurlin and Andy Johnson could both return for the trip to Bolton, but Junior Hoilett looks likely to miss out again. Hoilett went off with a hamstring injury during Rangersâ win against Ipswich on Saturday and has been unable to train this week. Johnson has been nursing a calf strain but is hoping to travel to the north-west and is expected to have a fitness test ahead of the match. Traore is back in the Rangers squad. Faurlin, who has been struggling with a thigh problem, was due to be assessed in training on Friday morning and is hoping to feature at the Reebok Stadium. Manager Harry Redknapp is keen to offload Traore but plans to include the left-back in his line-up this weekend. âJunior is struggling for tomorrow,â Redknapp confirmed. âItâs a shame because heâs been in fantastic form. He really has been outstanding. Itâs a blow for us. âAJ has trained this week and weâll see whether heâs available to play. Aleâs back and weâll have a look at him today.â
Generally good news but would have been great to have Hoilett back too. I wonder if Phillips will be on the bench?
I like Traore and he has the makings of a fine player ... he gives us so much going forward ...He has to stay IMO ... A bloody site better than Hill in that position
Jesus, we're short at the moment. I am actually worried after that interview. It almost sounds like he's not confident in getting his list of players. Think about it... if Faurlin, Hoilett and AJ are out today, who the hell do we pick? Traore on the left wing? You know, I'm starting to wonder if we need to put Ephraim on!! Hill did a better job last week than Traore has ever done. I just don't think he's a defender.
I think Traore has to play LW if he is to be in the side. He cannot defend properly. The goal Sheff Wed got on the opening day was down to his poor defending - not just when trying to tackle the guy who scored, but his poor header before that gave possession straight back to them.
