Yawn. The england team are crap I lost interest in them 2 years ago. Now I watch scotland instead not as much quality but theres usually more goals and meaty tackles ;D
Didn't make it to the last WC or Euro's!! What other teams have missed one, or the other since 2006???
We should have won easily, we missed so many sitters, Theo Walcott isn't an England player in a million years, he's got no end product and 4-5-1 against Switzerland for ****s sake, it was embarrassing. Capello should have been sacked months ago, he definitely needs to go before the Euro's, it might as well be now.
OLM, what's your opinion of Redknapp, who the papers think are nailed on to be England's next man in charge? I mean, he's obviously quite a good manager but i always thought the best part of his game was the 'wheeler-dealings' like getting VDV for £8m. You can't exactly do that with England but i'm sure he'd be ok, i'm just not sure he's the only option England have as he is portrayed. My dad jokily said last season that it should be Holloway (just for the interviews I think) but then i thought about how much he got out of the Blackpool team for the amount of talent they had, and also kept their feet firmly on the ground. Now, I'm not suggesting Holloway should be the England manager, but it seems like going for redknapp would be more of a gamble than most people believe, rather than the instant success offered to us by the media.
I have heard that Arry's dodgy dealings may be coming to roost and until the outcome of his trial is known, he won't be appointed England Manager. I think the lack of a problem free replacement for Capello, is probably the reason he's in his job.
