Then the Ra went back in time to 1921, punched the Queen in the face, stuck her in the boot of a car where she smeared **** on the walls - then she starved herself to death. And the Republic was won.

Noone wanted a republic. In the early part of the 20th century the vast majority of the population of Ireland were proud to be british. When a group of crackpots went round Dublin shooting people in 1916 the population of Ireland thought they were mad. They were spat on in the streets of Dublin when they were led away after being arrested. Even after years of intimidation and propaganda by a group of republicans which started out as a few 100 when most of Ireland was off fighting the germans, only a very small minority of irish people actually voted for independence. The republic wasn't "won", it was given away.
Republicanism was imposed on the Irish people by the actions of the British army/govt. What do you do? The majority of people voted for a Republic in '18. Ill stick to that ta very much.

So do you, or do you not, agree that the English stole our food in the great potato famine of 1916, in order to weaken us?
They didnt though. The only vote on a republic was 1927. 1918 was a general election in which there was a protest vote against the threat of conscription during the war, which was a total shambles with republicans later admitting to voting up to 20 times each, and with widespread intimidation of the population by republicans which led to many seats being unopposed because no one dared to stand against sinn fein. even then, less than 50% of the votes recorded were for sinn feinn. the only vote for independence was in 1927 when less than 1/6 of the island voted for independence.

it wasn't just English, it was irish as well. and he didnt just oversea it, he orchestrated it in order to try to provoke a reaction from the british (which he eventually got with the blackand tans), in order to try to turn public opinion against the british. the murder campaign literally consisted of people being shot in the back as they walked unarmed down the street and as they slept in their beds. even(the reaction by the british army to) that didnt turn opinion sufficiently against the british (when he started almost the whole of Ireland was pro british), and even by 1927 when there was a free vote, less than 1/6 of the population voted for independence. sinn fein declared independence anyway citing that referdendum, and the british (who had been trying to distance themselves from Ireland by pushing through a home rule bill since the 1870s) went along with it.
