    I bet the prick still tried to get the price down. Picked up a few bits that had been marked down as their expiry date was near.

    Sky Sports are saying "Newcastle reject bid of around £10m for midfielder Yohan Cabaye"

    Bottom feeders.

    Is that actually him?
    He's mugging the Arsenal fans off. He said he was working 24/7 on transfers not buying croissants the lying git!

    The croissants then rejected the terms offered and signed for Stuttgart.

  7. I've just been reading that story.

    What the hell is Whinger smoking?

    Does he truly believe that the Toon will let AFC have one of their best players for a mere £10m, so close to the close of the TW? Even if they were prepared to sell, which I am confident they are not, Ashley will smell the desperation permeating from every pore in Whingers body, and he will double Cabaye's true value (which has to be at least £20m), so Whinger will have to offer around £40m to even begin to tempt Ashley into selling.

    I'm beginning to think that the most humane thing for Whinger to do would be to go and throw himself off his beloved Eiffel Tower.

    Given that Cabaye is their key player, and the bid is so derisory, I get the feeling it may not be Arsenal. Looks pretty similar to MUPLC's derisory double bid for Baines & Fellaini engineered solely to unsettle them to me.

  13. And not just his own reputation, but that of AFC.

    There used to be a time when I thought AFC was above all of this. Even when Judas joined them, most of us put that down to the disloyalty and greed of Judas, and didn't really give Arsenal a thought.

    But their pursuit of Cabaye - a player who would struggle to make our bench - is truly pathetic.

    Oh, how the mighty have fallen!

    They did poach Fabregas from Barca's youth system by exploiting a quirk where English teams can offer youngsters a professional contract a full year ahead of Spanish ones.

    Cabaye's a good player and he'd do a job for us, but Arsenal aren't weak in his position. It's probably their strongest, actually.
    They need a centre-half, a holding midfielder, a striker and probably a keeper, too. Their lack of depth looks pretty blatant right now.

  16. How sad is this?

    On the "rivals" thread, over on the Gooner board, they are all rubbing themselves raw and celebrating the rumour that the Chavs may have hijacked our bid for Willian.
    <doh>

    I'm not making this up. Go and see for yourselves. It's truly pathetic.

    They can't do any business for themselves, so they have taken to cheering when we fail to sign a marquee player (not that we need any more). They are like the neutered slave in the harem cheering on his master for giving one of his many wives a good seeing-to.

    My, my, my! How the mighty have fallen. I feel quite soiled by them, if I'm being honest.

    No, we're thinking if Chelsea sign Willian, then Mata is available. Stop being a bitter wum.

    Why would they sell you Mata? He'd also be another good player in a position which you're already strong in.
    Far more likely that he'd either be part of a deal for Rooney or he'd be sold abroad.

  20. Yes, that's right. We've just bought 4 marquee signings, and are being linked with about 4 more, and have seen two or three of our youngsters play a blinder in Europe tonight, whilst Whinger continues to count his pennies with his thumb stuck up his arse, and yet I am the bitter one!
    <doh>

    You really couldn't make this up!
