I said on the other thread that Townsend has a chance to shine tonight and stake a real claim for the squad. Looks like he's taking that opportunity with open arms. Personally, I hope he stays put this season, and is not put out on loan.
i've no doubt that the type of player Townsend is is much more suitable to the system and way AVB wants to play than Lennon is. Whether he is better than Lennon is another question but he does look lively
Lennon must be feeling really under pressure at the moment. He can no longer rely on his pace anymore. We've got other diverse options who are knocking on the door.
I think he might be the one to go. Keep Towny and sell Lennon. Either could well end up 2nd choice if all the transfers come in and Lennon will probably fetch a decent price
Given that AVB has fielded such a strong side tonight, I wonder if that's a sign that we're expecting to sign another two or three players before the Swansea game? Willan, Lamela, and Coentrao would do very nicely, thank you.
