Need to get De Gea, only 19 and for those who watch La Liga you will know that without him Atletico would be in a much weaker position. He is tall, commanding and confident. Would love Modric, proven Premiership player unlike Wesley who may not settle in to the different style. Ashley Young is a joke, Fergie needs to quit now if he thinks Young's a good signing, he can't get in the England team, with little quality competition. We are fine for wingers anyway, Valencia, Nani and Park for big games and Giggs still around as well. Moreover, the Da Silva twins can fill in midfield if needs be, they were brilliant against Arsenal. Upfront we are okay with Rooney and Hernandez with Berba and Owen as back up, Welbeck coming back as well. In a dream world we need two central midfielders. Fletchers good at what he does, but I would love Schwienstieger and Modric in CM with Valencia and Nani, but I reckon with 20m going to a keeper we will only get one cm and modric is much needed. De Gea Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra Valencia Fletcher Modric Nani Rooney Hernandez
Tomasz Kuszczak (£4m, West Brom) Darron Gibson (£6m, Sunderland) Wes Brown, £6m, Sunderland/Bolton) in the papers. imagine if those 3 deals went through as the tabloids are reporting.back of the net!
hargreaves didnt have his deal renewed. i imagine kuszczak, berbatov and brown will be off soon enough (unfortunately not for the prices the tabs are stating, more likely 2,12-15,3.
hes looked ok,but we've had the best keeper in the league for a while now,bit of a step down.de gea would be better.
Shouldnt the div above be posting on the england board after his hero"s PISSPOOR performance against a country who invented the cuckoo clock?
Great article in the Guardian about Phil Jones and Utd. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/08/manchester-united-phil-jones Daniel Taylor the author said that despite SAF saying he wants 3 players, he could in fact be making 5 signings this summer with a shed load of players leaving OT. Bring it on!!!
Is it me or is united's alleged infatuation with Nasri just a smoke screen to hide their interest in Modric?
We will never know? apparently Chelsea have offered £30.7 million for Sneijder And are clearly testing United's resolve. Its patently clear that replacements for Lampard and Scholes don't come cheap and cannot be replaced from within.
Probably more a case that Nasri has said he would consider United, his agent says he wants to go to us, and Wenger said he wouldn't sell him to United, so the papers sniff a good story. Apart from Rio saying Nasri is a great player, I haven't seen any statement from the club that indicates we are actually interested in him. Although I wouldn't be surprised if our next transfer (after the De Gea and Young ones if they go through) will be a complete surprise to most people.
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ited-open-talks-with-1638m-nasri-2295333.html At least 3 papers are mentioning that talks through intermediary figures have begun in Manchester. Some reports claim he could walk away from Arsenal for as little as £8million.
That's exactly what I mean. All I've seen in the papers is that there is "interest" and that all talks have been between "intermediaries". These intermediaries don't seem to include Nasri, his agent, SAF, or anyone from United. Which begs the question, who's talking to who? Is Nasri's Mum talking to a sales assistant in the Megastore? Nah, just the usual Twitter crap. Someone tweeted it yesterday afternoon, and it seems that people are still retweeting it 24 hours later. His medical was on Wednesday, so if he failed it we'd have heard something from one of the clubs by now.
