The 7s in ladbrookes looks massive Dex. He does well in thsi race but i'm always a bit worried that a Godolphin donkey will turn up on the day and suddenly turn into Pegasus
...they don't seem to have perfected the post AL Zarooni mix as yet! As you say it may well leave the lab in time for the Leger...!
And another ton for the aussie's, another wicket for england, and another poor show from me on the horses... Well done to all the winners today... Im off...
Well done SMP...the first two pulled a little clear toward the post and that form looks as though it could be solid using Dank as a benchmark...the second needs some headgear..looked around for a few strides below the distance.
my heinz reads place win void void win so hoping dutch rose wins/places in the last for a half decent return
See ya Red *waves* My Obsession paid off nicely, and now for the double with Nurpur (6-1 last night) Well done SMP if you played
Nice performance by Our Obsession, who is obviously improving and does stay twelve furlongs. It looked like Say was going to pick her off in the last furlong but she found a little more and looks like one they will be trying to find a Group 3 race for next time.
Afternoon all been to busy to post or look will try to catch up later had bell bayardo prob just started griffin point and bold cross all wins good luck as always
6.25 Bellewstown Captain Arceus 7/1 I think Dessie Hughes unexposed 7 year old has a great chance of winning tonight. Won LTO in a Grade B handicap that looks strong form with the 2nd and 3rd home Sizing Machine and Enchanted Forest filling the same positions off 4lb and 5lb higher marks respectively when very narrowly beaten at the Punchestown Festival and I think Captain Arceus's 6lb rise seems very fair. That was just Captain Arceus's 2nd start in a handicap as he was a narrowly beaten 2nd on his first start behind the progressive Summer Star in a good race at Leopardstown back in March. Up until now, Captain Arceus has been campaigned predominantly over 2m but I think he'll really appreciate the step up to 20f today and I definitely feel more improvement is left in this strong travelling sort. Although the best surface he has encountered over hurdles has been yielding ground on his last 2 starts, Dessie Hughes said "the better the ground the better he is" after his latest win and I think he'll love the quick conditions at Bellewstown tonight. He's had a 142 day absence since his last run which isn't a concern as he goes really well fresh and with Bryan Cooper injured the booking of Barry Geraghty definitely catches the eye. He's got to shoulder the burden of top weight in this contest off a mark of 132 but he looks the class act in the field and I absolutely feel he has more improvement left in him and I'm confident he can carry this big weight to victory tonight.
