Oh, yessss...!!! Shame i didn't have owt on it, but that's ok... The Fugue is next up, with Emirates Queen in your comp Reebok... You never know, I may strike again... Doubt it though...
Following The Fugue is beginning to get a bit expensive. Is that a cliff edge I see before me? ****it, I'm on...
Lord knows how Gosden has got a filly of that class beaten seven times in eleven runs. Hopefully she heads to SA and with an American jock up...WB wasn't seen to best effect on her last BC. The one to beat for sure.
The Yorkshire Oaks went rather how I had expected with Scintillula cutting out the running whilst most of the others let her go as they thought it was too quick. Venus De Milo was her nearest rival but as the field closed up in the straight, The Fugue was travelling very easily on the bit. Once she quickened to the front she hammered Venus De Milo impressively. With only three races on the clock this season, there has to be every chance that she will head to Longchamp on 15 September to try and right the wrong that was done to Da Re Mi in the Prix Vermeille. Disappointing performance from Riposte but the result does appear to be another nail in the coffin of the Classic generation middle distance fillies.
They also took her out at Ascot the day before the King George. Won't risk her on ground with firm in it, which suggests she's highly thought of.
I'm hoping he's been too busy plotting a leger win for excess knowledge........I suspect you're closer to the mark though!
Da Re Mi was rightly chucked out for breaching the French rules of racing which are much more equitable than ours. TF not guaranteed to get really fast ground in Paris which is obviously critical.
Forgot about him Dan...most unfortunate at Goodwood even though the form took a little knock yesterday in the GV.
