I doubt he'd see Rooney as his central striker tbh. He's prefers a Drogba type to be his focal point, if he does want him it's be as a supporting striker imo. In any case I reckon he knows fine well United won't sell him Rooney, he's just popcorning Moyes
Not sure I agree Tobes - other than Drogba, when has Mourinho ever had a Drogba type striker leading his line? Wouldn't call McCarthy, Ibrahimovic or Benzema a Drogba type player. Besides which, I doubt a Drogba type striker would work with Chelsea's current system - it's more suited to the 4-3-3 he played the first time around rather than the 4-2-3-1 he seems to want to play now. And if he wanted a Drogba type striker, why has he not tried to buy one already, instead of spending his entire summer chasing Rooney, a tactic which appears to have completely failed to destablise Utd at all.
fortunately for us there is only one Drogba in the world, the rest are not as good I think Jose can adopt to many styles and type of players, this is why he didn't sign Drogba style of players in Real and even now with Chelsea
May be Rooney on the bench and coming in after 60 mins. Not bad to have him in reserve. I have a feeling that despite all the hype about Jose, United will edge it. They were very lucky to win against Aston Villa. They needed the help of the referee as they did against Hull.

Even if Utd were to sell him, as if they would sell him 4 days before they are playing us......if he came back and bit United in the a$$ by scoring a brace against Utd, would make Moyes and the Utd board look like tits. If this sale happens, it will be next weekend or not at all. trust me
You will make 1 or 2 signings before the window closes. But like I said, it will be next saturday. United would never let him go in time to play against them, in case he performs, plus all the negative publicity on "Rooneys return to Old Trafford". The press would have a field day. With your fans booing him and $hit. Both clubs will want to avoid such negativity in what could be an important fixture for the title come May.
