I think £10m is a lot to pay for him but he could potentially become a top class player. Already established in the Derby first team and is probably their best player. Could be a decent investment.

Will Hughes talks about Gerrard and Liverpool in this interview... around 40s in. Shows the subtle importance of big players as transfer draws.
Looks like Lamela's on his way to Tottenham. Reports saying they've agreed a £30M fee and his brother's been getting busy on twitter. Their squad is looking pretty daunting at this point.
He's already a pretty classy midfielder with bags of potential. He's also a massive LFC fan as well so he will have a burning desire to join us. Looks like we're close to signing Ilori as well as cover for Coates. Two young potential players could be on their way - come on Rodgers, sort the first team out first!
How many attacking midfield players do they need? Its like when they overloaded on strikers a few years back. How long before they all get pissed off at only playing a third of the season?
£30m on Lamela and £30m on Willian, IF they manage to keep Bale then that's a ridiculous amount of money to spend seeing as they rarely do this type of thing, but at least they're spending, unlike us and Arsenal. A spud pointed out that anyone could make up an account with the same second name as Erik Lamela and drop subtle hints about him joining a PL team.
I know Spurs have the best chance of signing Lamela (they have the money now, and Baldini has the links) but I'm not sure they actually want him. Hopefully for our sake, they don't want him and we can swoop in!
Well if Real had their heads screwed on they would (after Willian goes through) try and screw down the price for Bale, and walkaway if not. No way Spurs can spend 90-100million without selling Bale
------Saldado Chadli---------Lamela -------Willian ---Sandro Paulinho Lamela and Willian could swap too, leaves Gylfi and Dembele who could play AMC and push Willian on wing to replace Chadli. Capoue and Holtby to compete for the middle and Lennon for competition on the wing.
I highly doubt Levy would have spent all that money without correctly ensuring the Bale deal was likely to happen. I reckon they agreed the deal prior and also agreed to announce it later to ensure Spurs get to spend without the inflation.
