Yes, it's just a pre-match press conference. If Osvaldo didn't get announced in a press conference, Scott Sinclair surely wouldn't be.
Presser FFS! Please don't start torturing the English language otherwise should you become a real journalist you might carry on the bad habit with disastrous results for us all. I dread to think what you would do to the English language if you ended up working for the Sun but then you wouldn't be a proper journalist would you.
"Unforeseen technical problems have meant the broadcast of MP's press conference has been cancelled. Unfortunately out of our control! Sorry."
MP: "We're pretty pleased with the players we've brought in, but we're also keeping an eye on the market." Also said how he knows Osvaldo well and he'll flourish playing alongside these players and in this team. Also mentioned how he thinks singing the Gimme Shelter chant will be critical to Osvaldo's success. This last part may not have happened....
Christ, the weekend being Friday and Saturday here blows! Means I have to work through today and the game isn't tomorrow, I have to wait right until the very end of the weekend to know how we did! I'm calling a 2-0 win. Osvaldo and Lallana. Thoughts create reality.
I am going to this match, before we signed Osvaldo I was excited about the first home game but groaning inside about playing sunderland. Now Im massively excited and quietly excited we can put on a good show and get all 3 points.
Just listened to Mauricio's prematch press conference, he says that he doesn't think Rickie and Dani are that similar and that he thinks they can play together, though this will have to monitored. Talked about playing the yougnsters, but also being careful with them. When someone listed the Academy players, he said that they consider Spider as a product of the Academy as well.
Alot of clubs do this, in truth we bought a raw 17 year old and threw him straight into the first team, that was doing badly. It would have broken alot of young players, but thankfully Morgan came through it.
Urgh. I hate that. If we're claiming Schneiderlin is ours then Bale is Tottenham's and Walcott and Oxo are Arsenal's.
Can't count him as an academy product, because you know, he isn't. However we can take a lot of credit for his development into the player he is today - as Spurs can do with Bale. Arsenal can take credit for helping Theo stall in reaching his potential (if he ever really does) and for sending Chambo along the same path.
And we stalled Pulis' career too If we hadn't hung on to him, he could have been an average non-league player a lot sooner.
Obviously, Mauricio has been told this about Schneiderlin, perhaps by the lad himself, but the interesting thing to me is that it shows MP takes an interest in what has been going on before he arrived. In fact, he makes it clear in the presser that good things have been happening at the Academy for years. He also praises Nicola...think it is in his contract that he has to name check him in every interview
