FLT - have always wondered, but never got around to asking. Are you fatter than the actual current fat LeTissier, or just fat compared to the prime MLT, who of course wasn't the slightest of players?
Of course, you may be none of the above - but in terms of your handle, wondering how fat your metaphorical presence is to be imagined. I like to know what we're dealing with here.

Also want to know at some point what a 'little camera' is.

Not sure what to make of that really.
I don't think that has a chance in hell of coming to fruition. The top four is almost unreachable, let alone in two years. It has taken spurs years and a hell of a lot of investment, and even now they are only scraping the top four. There's nothing wrong with aiming high though !

Whilst there may be doubters, and I agree it seems far fetched, I have no doubt that here is revealed some of the ambition of Cortese. Lovren wouldn't be saying empty words because he knows full well that it'll take more than signing players of quality. They'll need to be forged into a team, and there will need to be further additions. This is also why players, who know they are in the squad proper, not just the 25, won't/can't be prised away at the moment.

I don't exactly share his optimism, but it's still interesting. I've always felt that the biggest handicap for teams outside the big six isn't financial, it's that players feel that they need to move elsewhere to compete at the highest level. If you can somehow keep a good group together and continually add to it, any team has a chance.

Of course, there likely will come a day when either the team stalls, or a player gets their head turned...then, it's hard to keep the dam from bursting. But with the massive imbalance in wealth between the PL and the rest of the world, I do think that we'll see more teams 'pulling a Newcastle' and working their way into the conversation for a year or two.

Thanks. Yeah, realised exactly that while I was lying in bed, and the image came into my mind of him taking photos with it, and thought about getting up, waiting ten minutes while my computer turned back on, and coming back on to post just that. But then thought better of it. I actually didn’t realise until FLT said it that ML stood for Markus Liebherr – just figured she had a double barrel surname!

 

Love that image of ML. The best thing about winning the JPT was that Markus got to enjoy it.

 

Still can't picture you as being Markus Liebherr's little Canon/Lumix/Pentax/Whatever though. And I've known the source of your remarkable handle for a couple of years now.

 

She is posh though! She used to live in Surrey...

 

Have to admit it took me about 5 months to figure it out, not that I was really racking my brains, of course. Never really gave it any thought and then I was just browsing the forums and it clicked.
