OK, just supposing we get promoted this year with the crowd of last-chancers that Redknapp seems intent on putting together. Should we then sack him and replace him with a newer managerial model as Flyer suggests we should have immediately done with Warnock?
No. If we do go up we need some continuity and of course some good 'ol stability. Keep the manager, keep the squad and only make two or three great additions. Any further changes need to be gradual. However, if Steve Maclaren is still there?
and leave us in the **** even if we do go up. Thats my theory as to why hes buying the has beens, he doesnt care past the summer so hes not building for the future. However even I dont think we can sack him but I hope he resigns so we can have someone for the long term.
Its unlikely we will go up. The 1st Season return success rate since the PL started is only around 20%. If he does get us back up it would be a marvelous achievement. And we'll cling onto him for dear life.
He'll be on a hefty promotion bonus. Build a team for short-term success, bow out a hero. That's the plan. Not a terrible one either.
Youre having a laugh, most of them will need to be replaced as they are too old or not good enough, Hill, Derry, Green, Henry, Zamora, Johnson, Dunne, SWP, Young. The likes of Faurlin, Simpson, Yun, Onuoha and Austin are good and young enough and thats it. Thats why I am so pissed off at the old players because we wont have any team or continuity even if we go up and its all Redknapps fault because there is zero planning past this summer because he wont be here.
Great for him, not good for us. No long term plan is the reason weve been in the **** for the last three years replacing 50% of our squad each summer and still not having a good team that will be together in 2 or 3 years.
Jesus Flyer, you are such an old ****ing sourpuss. You told me that Warnock should have been sacked immediately after he got us promoted. Would you apply the same rules to Redknapp?
