I think Aaron was one of the players to really step it up at the beginning year to the end of end of the season. I think with Wenger playing him out wide has really added to his locker. His energy At the centre of the park his driving runs with the ball and without and his calmness and composure in possession at all position on the pitch. This pre-season he has been a Plus. http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/aaron-ramsey-v-manchester-city-individual-highlights/
Ramsey has been quietly going about his business for over a year now, gradually improving all the time to the point where he has become an integral part of our MF, all the while some fans have been berating him because they can't seem to get past the fact that he was slow to come back from his injury and had a frustrating season on his return. A bit like Walcott, who has been absolutely slated in the past, Ramsey is now proving his doubter wrong. The added bonus with Ramsey is that when he scores, somebody kops it and this years he has his sights firmly planted on taking out his detractors over the last two seasons. Starting with Kyle and then COYG, these boys are done for ....
Wal(rus)cott's finish was a good 'un. It reminded me of this article I was pointed towards today: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-football/10240550/At-least-we-fans-of-Scottish-clubs-know-we-are-rubbish.-Whats-the-excuse-in-England.html That racehorse-esque guile was too much for the Scotland defence for his goal, obviously
McStoke! As I have always said, I hope Ramsey proves me wrong and converts me into a believer. He is on the right track it seems I would add that I went through exactly the same doubts with both Keown & Bould in their 1st seasons with us. I thought they were worse than **** at the time.
Sorry mate, no amount of arse licking is going to save you now, Ramsey has got you in his sights and the track he is on now is to execute retribution. You might be safe for a while, but as soon as he scores his first PL goal this season, you'd better watch your back
Ramsey had a great Pre-Season (and a good end to last Season) but I also think Wilshere will make a big impact again this year. He did'nt look match fit yesterday but he showed a few little glimpses of genius. We need to keep him fit because for me he's potentially our best player. (even above Carzorla)
Good to see Ramsey getting better. I always liked him but his career hasn't taken off the way It should have. Will be interesting to see if he can cement a spot with Arteta, Rosicky and Wilshere all viaing for midfield spots.
The problem is that when everyone's fit i think it needs to be either him or Wilshere. On current form it's Ramsey..
they managed together today quite well. if those two end up playing a lot together while Arteta is out, they might form a great partnership and keep mikel out of the team.
Fener never even attempted getting out of their half in the first half... Mikel's position is pretty secure IMO unless we get a classic DM. But if Cazorla plays on the left more, both Ramsey and Wilshere can feature. But the Arteta + Ramsey partnership is just better at this point, and tested against decent competition.
Exactly. We didn't even need a DM today, so Wilshere+Ramsey did well enough. Our best partnership is Arteta-Ramsey with Wilshere in the AM role (Cazorla out wide). At the moment Rosicky is ahead of Wilshere on current form, though neither is setting the world alight.
I've been Ramsey's biggest supporter on here, saying he is world class, having to battle with all the doubters, .
