I know you don't exactly like LFC but have you read Epic Swindle by Brian Reade? The moore's ****ed up so bad, if they did any, ANY background check they should have seen right through them, especially Hicks. Remember when Corinthians bought Mascherano, Tevez, etc were winning the league??? Yup same guy and then they too went bankrupt. Writing was on the wall from day one with those.

I've not read the book, but I like Reade tbh, nice bloke & usually very sensible (until he gets his full on RS head on)

I know the gist of the tale, Moores never even realised that they were 'buying' it with only £7m each of their own cash did he?

Loads of people were mega happy when we sign Joe Cole and I was just thinking 'I have a really bad feeling about this'.

I know what you mean about Reade. When the SOS red mist comes down then all analytical thought goes out of the window.

In all seriousness though, my gut says that it's not all so well planned at WHL. But it's not my concern and I can only wish them the worse of luck - Willian or no Willian (I don't think I'd heard of him before 10 days ago!!).

In some ways though, Reade did a major hatchet job on Moores. Yes, as a CEO he was worse than useless but the 'executives' that he relied upon were more than a little culpable.

I've e-mailed Brian a few times over the years & tbf he's always written back, whether I was admiring his piece or countering his view.

If you're right about Spurs (which I can't agree with) then Levy's got balls the size of cantaloupe melons, that are made of steel!

Moores always reminded me of a character out of Bread, he certainly wasn't the sharpest knife in the block by all accounts. It was his uncle who was the brains of the organisation & who also had the better taste!

More fitting of Spurs would be:

    1) We have too many midfield players.
    2) But I play in midfield.
    1) Welcome aboard.

For your information tagnut he's written some very inciteful & interesting pieces about the game, unlike some he usually has a well balanced perspective. He also knows the game & is a pass holder at the pit.

No wonder AVB didn't want to go to PSG, Spurs are spending more money than them this summer!
