To be fair we don't know this yet as there has been no official announcement. As someone on the Observer site pointed out Sky Sports were claiming we signed a Spanish striker in January so they have form for being wrong.

If it turns out to be true then it is a low fee BUT we have to look at the details. £3.5m in cash, upfront now is not as bad as £5m spread over 24 installments and including add-ons to make it £5m.

By selling early, as someone above said, we have a more concrete financial picture and can determine more quickly and easily how much we need to fill any black holes i.e. does anyone else need to go or money need to be borrowed. plus it gives us more time to find a suitable replacement.

Bradleysdad morning to you! I accept the point your making ,but if your skint ,you dont tell the world (Baz did), If your skint and start auctioning off assets, you dont stop the auction (we apparantly did) half way through!! It appears to makr no sense! However as you point out we dont know what add ons are included! we dont even know if that3.5M has already included the add ons <yikes>
On the little we know it seems to me that Leo is right and Baz has indeed bottled it!

But that's my point Norway, we don't actually even know that it is true that it has been accepted - unless I'm missing something? We were quick to come out and say we had received bids and rejected them so why not this one? If anything you would want to say to draw in other bids.

On the point about Bassini saying we would consider all offers, to be fair i think the whole world knew that anyway. I take the point though that it would have been better not to say it from a business point of view but playing devil's advocate fans do moan when we aren't kept in the picture. I'm happy to see how it pans out.

On a positive note, we did read that he didn't want to accept a derisory amount...maybe that was speculation, but i'd love it if it were true!

I hope we have a sell on percentage put in DG's contract - in a year's time when Swansea get relegated if DG has been good some other Prem team may be willing to pay properly for him

Can I ask why we have accepted this so early in the window, why not wait and see what happens? There is so much time left!

Why have we accepted this so early in the transfer market would we not be better to wait and see what happens in the next month or so?

Can I ask what loan shark we owe money to? As far as I'm aware there isnt one we owe the old owners a small fortune at very low interest rates and the new owner a debt at zero interest which is not redeemable until after the older debts are paid. As far as I know one network has stated we've accepted at a figure of 3.5MM but this hgasnt been confirmed by either club or Danny and obviously no details released. i'm glad the club isnt being run by reactionaries on this board and would prefer to await facts before making conlusions based on rumour here rumour there. Obviously the lack of PR savvy makes us all sceptical but wait a few days. Anyone who thought we werent going to sell DG is on another planet and doesnt have either his or the clubs best interest at heart. We are a selling club, we need to sell both for the cash and to open the opportunities for the next set of youngsters to shine. Be prepared to enjoy a season of new talent beating expectation its what we're about.

The "loan shark" is Ticketus Services 35 Ltd of Old Bailey, London. When I last looked there are 63 of these operations. My belief is they are advancing money to the majority of Football League sides against future revenues. Best people to ask are the Football League because they will be taking a cut.

The arrangement is that the £1.8m (ish) loan was to be repaid by the end of June, or else penalties would apply. Hence my suggestion that Watford need in excess of £2m quickly, as Carlisle will be due their 15% slice of any cash in short order.

If anyone is asking how much Malky will see of this, may I suggest £0.00 .......... Malky will have to wait until the 2nd or 3rd transfer ......

Frankly I am not having a pop at Baz the clown/puppet - in my view he has put no money of his own into the club, but Ashcroft has told him to raise cash. Under this regime Baz has little option.

Thing is, all this about DG has come about from a comment on SSN - there has been no official announcements from either club about a bid being made and accepted. So for me it's just more rumour making to try and create a story..

MM is million in my business mm milimetre....M is thousand so excuse me if I use wrong terms but you know what I meant. Elixir you may well have hit the nail on the head re. cash requirement, whats obvious is nobody has a businessplan good enough to get the bank to bridge even for a few days which is worrying....

As I mentioned previously nothing is done until both clubs report it either on their websites or through the press, I hope we sign him, and I am sorry for the troubles you are having at your club, been there through admin with the swans and 90 minutes from liquidation , so know what it feels like.

    best wishes!
