Vice cap only helps if your captain doesn't play. So making Mig vice this week hasn't had any effect.
Aah ok . I got 15 points for him for a clean sheet? Must look into the scoring for this. In the Telegraph game I'd get 2 points for playing and 4 for a clean sheet, hence I assumed the vc had some effect.
He saved a pen too, and might have been star man (i think that gets points). I got 15 for him too and he wasn't my cap or vice Edit - click his little 'I' button and you get a breakdown: Bonus 3 3 Minutes played 90 2 Clean sheets 1 4 Saves 5 1 Penalties saved 1 5 Total 15
one day I'll win the whole thing if I just trust my instinct. I had lampard, nolan, whittaker, luna and shaw in my team but changed at last minute and all them players are in team of the week.
My dad has won the weekly prize before (do they still have a weekly prize?). You can't do it with just 1 team, people have LOADS and its all about combos and having them come off at the same time: Eg, a set up like this: Gk: Tot Def: Tot Def: Tot Def: Che Def: Che Mid: ManU Mid: Arse Mid: City For: ManU For: Arse For: City Then you've gotta hope that both Spurs and Chelsea keep a clean sheet (as a minimum, goals/assists also help of course). Then you want a lot of goals from ManU/Arse/City with your mid assisting your forward or vice versa a number of times. The week my dad won was ridiculous, he had 10 clean sheets (2 games) and about 12 goals and assists (each) and he only won by 1 point! It had become a kind of obsession for him to win it as he'd come close a few times. He hasn't played FF since, LOL. I'm not convinced on that sort of setup for the long-game though, with the limited transfers.
Yeah you could enter loads of times and cover all bases but I always resist the urge to pick the old timers, like lampard and nolan and etc,,,, these types always start well while the new signings rarely score early. one day I'll learn
spurm, just to go off topic, i'm 434 (out of 59649) in the metro league overall, maybe this is my year lol
Nice. Back in the days where the Telegraph FF was THE fantasy football to do i got in the top100 and got my name in the paper. I cut it out and kept it, i might still have it _somewhere_ Alas, i faded and got beaten overall by my non-football-liking-arsenal-supporting sister (who now supports Spurs)
It used to be just pens, and then they only got the assist if the same player didn't take it. That was about 2 years ago though
Guys, sorry to intrude but I am having an FPL dilemma... You have some pretty decent fixtures coming up (such as Arsenal away ) and I was considering a Spurs midfielder. I thought about Sigurdsson. Is that a terrible idea!? He's only £7m. Who takes your set pieces these days? And will he be a regular starter for you this season? Your help is much appreciated!
Sig takes our corners and crossing free kicks. Usual direct free kick taker is obviously Bale. Without him we could see Sig take them too possibly. Soldado is our pen taker by the look of it. A few of the noobs in the team are an unknown quantity as far as set pieces go for me. We're seemingly still gonna do a fair amount of business in the next 12 days. At the moment Sig is a starter i would say, but in 2-3 weeks i'm not sure.
Thanks What would the signing of Wilian mean for Gylfi? Now I've heard that, I'm not so sure of putting him in...
Less game time i would assume. Willian might be introduced gradually though based on previous form from AVB
Siggy is useless, don't listen to Spurm as he is winding you up and wants all other FF managers to screw up.
