Keeping Suarez will be our best piece of business this Summer, he's better than any player we could ever wish to buy, and I think Rodgers realized that.
Hughes is 18 and would be for the future. Now we have Gerrard who is 33, Allen -s 24?, Henderson 23 and Luis Alberto who is 20. We tend to play two at a time, so we need at least 4 who are top quality. When Hughes is 21 Gerrard will be 36.
I would rather spend that money on Mulumbu, Diame who are around 24-25 and just groom Rossiter who is 16 and playing with the u21s.
I totally agree. Still, fingers crossed for Eriksen, even though i realise the chances are VERY slim!
Erikson is not the man. Rodgers wants a wide forward player. Give up on Erikson, he doesnt fit what Rodgers wants and the team needs.
Yeh I can't see Eriksen coming here tbh either mate. Although I'll feel more confident with Sturridge and Coutinho playing for us from the start, especially if Suarez gets his shooting boots back on (when he's back from his ban), plus goals from Aspas, Ibe, sterling and Henderson, and Gerrard, we just can't compete with Chelsea and Spuds in the quality department, depth too. If Arsenal don't buy anyone then I feel we really should take advantage of that, we might be able to pip them to 5th that way.
Siem de jong would be awesome and can play the wide positions. Technically very good and chips in with the goals too. Although he had a collapsed lung this summer, not sure what from!!!
Who then? I was actually so sure we'd get Willian, who else is available out there? I don't want another Assaidi.
One thing we can compete in is team spirit, due to our early signings, and a great pre-season The Stoke game showed that spirit hugely - Team spirit is a hugely underestimated quality to have, and I believe currently we lead the pack in that. I'd rather have a team that has spirit than a bunch of money hungry ****wits
Think he was more of an AM, but due to injuries last year he played striker or One of the front three and was scoring some big goals. His younger brother is Luuk de Jong who we were linked with awhile ago. Not sure he is either really, both are real high energy guys while I think Siem is more of a technical and tactical kind of player, just looking to get into the box, looking to get into good angles and seems to have a good shot on him as well.
I agree, think if we can get Aspas scoring too then think we'll manage to do well, especially when Suarez comes back.
