Admiral is a dump, so is the surrounding area. Get yourself to the Old Town, Ye Olde Black Boy or Ye Olde White Heart are wonderful historical pubs.
That's a sound post, mate. Bruce wasn't too bad at Sunderland, to be fair. As for our team, it all depends how we set up, but hopefully we will have a full midfield that will take the game from you and hold possession - I think Ruddy will be well tested. I don't see a bore draw but a good passing game as both teams find their feet - Chelski did us big favours when we did just that in the second half; it will have given our lads real encouragement - bring on the goalscorers
Appreciate the reply bor, but I doubt I'll have time for much adventuring once I get off the train. If there's somewhere nicer between the station and the KC then I'll have a look (providing it's away fan-friendly of course).
The black boy is a 10 minute walk from the station in the opposite direction to the kc The admiral will be packed due to the rugby lot That's the daft thing about hull, severe lack of pubs near the station What time does your train get into hull? Most of the pubs down anlaby road you'd want to avoid imo
Ticket is valid for the whole day, but I was planning to get into Hull station at 14:08 and just have a swift drink on the way to the KC. Could get in earlier I suppose.
Come out of the train station, walk into St Stephens shopping centre next door, come out of the back of the shopping centre onto Park Street, turn right and walk up to Spring Bank, then turn left and walk up to Princess Ave(there's lots of bars and restaurants down there, all away friendly), the KC is shown bottom left on the dodgy picture below, but you won't need a map from there, just follow the crowd(it's only a 5-10 minute walk). please log in to view this image
In that time there's pretty much no pubs you could go to other than the admiral but it will be absolutely heaving so best to avoid, i can't think of any you could go to Could try the cheese pub ir the sandringham 2-3 mins from the station, i saw loads of forest fans in there last season, just cross the road infront of the station and walk right past the war memorial, see chicken george takeaways and the two pubs are along that street, probably a minute walk to be fair
Do you really need me to explain this to you Stanley ? Agreed John. With TH and JL in the midfield and Brady and Elmo on the wings banging over there trademark crosses it could be a happy day for our strikers. Eh - That happens almost very time. Turner wont get any abuse from me. That is all for Snod-arse. Turner is out of contract next summer so lets keep him sweet eh ? Lets have the 2 Michael's next summer. Dawson and Turner to replace Faye and Bruce jnr. Hard to disagree with ^^^ this. I expect Huddlestone to be more ready than Fer. But will Fer start ? Interesting. Does Hughton start with last weeks team or bring back Bassong - Snodgrass - Fer and Hooper. Stick or twist. Should be fun. That applies to most PL strikers ffs. Admiral is not a dump unlike many in the old town. But the old town pubs do have much better beers. Admiral will be your best bet if time is short for you. Just accross the road from the station.
FT - Fer has not been injured (he was suspended last week) and has played a lot in our pre-season and looks a real prospect. In terms of preparedness I would suggest that he has more minutes under his belt in pre-season than Huddlestone and much more time to get used to his team mates and our system. I rate TH and would happily have had him at our place and I think that it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. Fer is nailed on to start whereas Snodgrass should be OK. I can't see CH having a centre back pairing where they are both on the road back from injury and not fully match fit so maybe Bassong will be on the bench. Whether or not Hooper starts will show how much ambition CH has for this game - history suggests he will play a cagey 4-5-1 with Hooper to come off the banch and inevitably score against the club who tried to buy him earlier.
I think we're pretty **** and that we'll lose this game, but what the hell is this bloke from you vitalfootball page on? Such a complete lack of understanding about our team. Wouldn't surprise me if he thinks Palace are decent too, just like everyone else
Depending on if I get into Hull a bit earlier, I might have a wander up to either of these. Thanks again for all the advice Tigers.
Bloody hell, that's way off isn't it? Where's he pulled that little gem from?! "The one bit of quality is Scottish international Allan McGregor".
That's incredible. Just more and more bullshit the longer it goes on. It'll probably be hard for Graham to reproduce his Swansea Championship form since he never played for them there. Passing not being our game? Diving about?! Long ball??!!
If ever a single person reinforced a stereotype it is the inbred, six fingered ****er who wrote that ****. Ignorant ****.
Some of it is quite reasonable and fair, such as his point about Chester being a promising defender but also one who will have an uphill task to impress this season. Other stuff, such as his point that, "Hull do not have a Barkley to strike wonder goal", is just bizarre. What the **** is he babbling on about?
Well that's Bruce's team talk done. Just stick that on the notice board and get the players to read it.
