Depriving him of service is key to this because if he is on form he will be difficult to handle.

Out of interest, why are Chelsea and Villa playing tonight?
Is there a particular reason other than Sky wanting to maximise their profits?

Doesn't Chelsea have a supercup against Bayern?

Is it? Thought that was the reasoning.

I say ask Moyes, but wait for Whelan first.

They were supposed to be playing Villa on the 31st, I think he's trolling you.

Feel more confident that Toure will be able to deal with Benteke's strength better than Agger & Skrtel did in the last game.

I really don't think their defence/midfield is that great at all. The only 2 players I'd worry about are Benteke & Agbonlahor. If we can keep one of them quiet we'd have a great chance of getting the 3 points.

With all the negativity atm and villa starting the season well and going into their first game at home. I'm going 4-1 to villa.

  9. You do realise the negativity on here has no influence on the game right? <badger>

Judging by Rodgers yesterday, I find it hard to believe nothing has rubbed off on the players. Villa have just beaten arsenal away and deserved a point at least at Chelsea. Can't see us dealing with benteke sadly.

  12. I share your feelings TBH. But then, I'm always nervous about games nowadays because we have been so inconsistent for the last three or four years. after getting a good win under our belts on the opening day, it would be typical of us to go and lose the next one.

Villa game is very important, but not as important as beating the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea , Tottenham, and Arsenal. These are the clubs challenging for the title and top four finish
at the end of the season.<ok>

I am not saying it's pleasant losing to Villa, but we must also be up there with those fighting for top four finish. Last season the only team we were able to beat above us was Tottenham.
    Hope you get my point?.<ok>

  16. I disagree. We aren't going to finish about Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea so losing to them doesn't matter (well, it does but you know what I mean) as much. Beating (or at least not losing to) tottenahm and Arsenal is important but beating the teams we should be better will give us the platform to challenge.

So, one day to go. Teams?

I guess it will be unchanged or maybe Sterling will come in one the left with Coutinho as an AM.

  18. Unchanged...

    Migs
    Johnson - Toure - Agger - Enrique
    Henderson - Gerrard - Lucas
