I have a history of visiting places when **** kicks off. I've been to Romania, just as they shot Ceaușescu, and I was in Egypt for the Arab Spring overthrow of Hosni Mubarak. I was by the red sea, but I was gagging to go to Cairo and visit Tahrir square. Everyone was saying "I wouldn't go there" but I was well up for it. I also wanted to see the museum and the pyramids, but I wanted to live a bit of history. I was gagging to be part of the Berlin wall coming down, but I couldn't get away. Thing is, I'm gagging to get back to Cairo again now. You wouldn't believe how **** like this clears a country, and you can actually see the sights without millions of other tourists getting in the way. The other year, we were the only 4 people in Tutankhamun's tomb, and there was only about 100 people on the whole valley. We had The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, all to ourselves, there were three coaches in a carpark that usually has over 100 coaches there. Is it the fact that scousers are balls out hard and crazy? Or just good travel advice to having a laid back holiday?
honestly... .... you are crazy... BUT..... if you can even ge tin then it seems if you stick to "civil" or "army" areas they are completey calm and ok. if you go anywhere near areas with muslim stronghold written over the door or protest areas you are F'd. just form the news... so i guess if you are going south and a long way south you'd better have good gaurds.... would you even get a package deal??
I'd go to the Red sea as a base, but them get flights to Cairo, since there's no nightboat I also want to go see Tanis and Abu Simbel. The country hasn't shut down, you can still get anywhere you want. I'm out of holidays this year, I'll have to hope it's all still kicking off next April
well i would guess it'll be a civil war or a calm situaion then.... i dunno a thing really but abu simbel is far south so... gaurds with big guns
I believe you can get a flight to Cairo for about £6. The return's a bit steep though. Costs a fortune transporting a dead body back
So basically Nobles is responsible for all the troubles in the world. We should kill him and all see out the remainder of our days in peace.
Noble you are crazy, but I understand you completely. I went and worked just off the coast of Iraq/Kuwait after I left the RAF and became an electrical engineer. No other ****er wanted to go. I wouldn't mind going to Afghan next year, most of the time you just sit around making sure the job doesn't go wrong and get paid £600 a day for it. Worth it.
