First off, I normally would not do this but since my actions apparently kicked **** off, thought I would at least put out what the intentions were. I understand the articles were labelled OT but the fact that we had threads about Snails, butterflies, gooners, multiple threads on pretty much the same topics and all of the footy topics at the bottom of the page, I thought it was due for a clean up. All I was really trying to do was to clean up the board a bit, not take shots at anyone or piss someone off. I also was doing this to help out group b,c to maybe contribute more. Group A ( as Gerrez put nicely) is the posters who are here all the time and often derail or have the jokes flowing ( I too am a culprit), group B are the ones on but more in and out, group c are more or less match days or when the season is in full swing. I was also trying to help see if by cleaning up and getting the footy discussion up, it would entice these posters to post more. Obviously this all backfired as everything was all over the place but ah well. Was trying to do the duties of a mod. So again, sorry for the hecticness yesterday. Bluff PS: **** THA LOT OF YA!!
Hey Bluff, you don't need to apologise. You did what you thought was in the best interests of the board. So some kicked-off, you can't please all of the people and you didn't shoot anybody!! Chill man - life's too short. Just one of those days. Now give me room - I want to rip somebody's throat out!!!!!
I think the board needed a clean up. A lot of threads get derailed quite easily and it can become frustrating
As the leader of Group D ()... Seriously though, you really didn't need to apologise. As a mod you should be able to make decisions without there being a ten-hour cat fight about it afterwards. All decisions are made to the benefit of the board, not everyone will like it but sometimes the posters that aren't happy have got to lump it too. for apologising but posters shouldn't expect this to be a regular thing
No need for apologies Bluff but I see the reasoning behind the apology nonetheless It's Gerrez that got the natives riled up then you tidied up and it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
By closing the threads you made the board very active yesterday, you did a good thing. People need to stop moaning there will be silly threads and football threads they will come and go and if there's not then how about posting one? (crazy thought)
