There's no way well let Shaw go, certainly not as a back-up choice to Baines.

Perhaps a cheeky offer for Baines as a back up to Shaw :)

It's very simple...send a fax, it gets shredded. Come yourself, Moyes, and you get shredded.

Well I'm an admirer of Cresswell's, although I don't know if he could cut it at this level. Based on what I've seen, I'd be happy to give him a try.

I still don't see it. We've got a lot of depth on the wings, and Isgrove got a lot of playing time in pre-season. I don't see Sinclair being a bit-part player here when he can be a regular at West Brom.

I honestly think it's 50/50. I think if he signs, it'll be our last signing, and I can't see it being a winger. On the other hand with Punch leaving you never know, though that seems his choice not ours.

He played and scored the final game of the season at West Brom too. That was the only other time I saw him.

The thing about Sinclair that puts me off is that I just don't rate players who rate their chances at somewhere like City. He left a great Swansea side/project to go and sit on the bench at City - surely he knew he would never get a game? He is a classic 7/10 Prem winger with high peaks that make him stand out every now and then. He either thinks he's better than he is or is happy to chase cash. I think he's J-Rod-meets-Puncheon; and we have and had them.

Buttner barely played, and only against the weaker teams when he was able to be very attacking, hence the goals. I don't think we missed out on too much there to be honest.

Is Buttner better than Foxy?
Be funny to put in a cheeky bid for him!

More bollocks from the Metro!

West Ham and Reading are considering moves for Southampton striker Rickie Lambert following the arrival of club record signing Pablo Osvaldo at the St Mary’s Stadium.
Lambert has enjoyed a dream week, celebrating the birth of his daughter, scoring with his first touch on his England debut and tucking away a late penalty to win Saints’ opening Premier League match of the season at West Brom on Saturday.
But Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t splashed out £15million on Roma striker Osvaldo to leave him sitting in the bench.
Pochettino worked with the Italy international at Espanyol and believes he can power the south coast club in their drive for European football.
That leaves Lambert struggling for playing time in Southampton’s system which employs just one striker and now he has a taste of international football he will crave more which means regular playing time in the Premier League.
West Ham need another striker and could make a move while Reading boss Nigel Adkins nurtured the 31-year-old forward’s career when he in charge at Saints and could make a bid.

Erm, Reading definitely can't offer regular playing time in the Premier League...

Apparently Sinclair is going to come in on loan for the season and Puncheon is going to go out on loan.

Both will have options to buy.

Interesting. I honestly would have preferred to keep Puncheon. But that's out of our control with whatever is going on in his family life, we will wish him well. I do however think that Sinclair has the potential to be better then Puncheon. An interesting deal, glad it's a loan for Sinclair. He really could go either way.
