Percussive guitarist. It's very much the in-vogue thing for acoustic guitarists to be. Kind of revived by Preston Reed, but being taken on by a new breed of guitarists. Compositions such as this usually require special tunings [and note the capo]. The late, lamented Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, Don Ross, etc... are all guitarists who use the percussive element as part of their repertoire. Don't be thinking you can just up an cover an ordinary song this way though.

I see PSV have changed stripes to all-red. Wonder if their fans are as pissed as some of ours.
 
Yep you are correct and I don't believe I said either recording was of that genre. I just suggested that if you liked that then these recordings were good. Which they are.

Indeed they are, but I'm sure you realise that when you make a suggestion/recommendation it has much more chance of taking root if the suggestion is in the same ballpark regards genre, technique, etc. There's a world difference between the two. :)
