Difference is, Benteke is a much better footballer than those two. Plus Benteke did not really tear us apart, Agbonlahor was the man that caused us more problems.
I really can't see how we are underdogs. As long as we can keep focussed and go in confidently then we should be able to get something. If we get a goal then we will be firm favs.
I honestly think we'll lose tomorrow, but we should have enough about us to win the 2nd leg at The Emirates
So according to Arsene he is out for six weeks, but the player himself thinks he is out for 3 months. Brilliant as usual from the club.
Based on other cases of official statements from Arsenal, "At least 6 weeks" should translate to something closer to 4-5 months.
To be fair Wenger did say at least 6 weeks.Looking at the statement it would appear that Wenger admits he's not in possession of all the facts
6 weeks could just be the initial time before he is able to start rehab, might be a months or so after that before he would be able to play. These injuries are notoriously difficult to predict, 2 people with exactly the same injury could be treated exactly the same way by the same person on one could be back 2 months before the other as there are a whole range of variables that can affect the outcome, and yes I do know what im talking about as I am a physiotherapist.
Looking at people's starting line-ups for this game is really depressing. I can't believe Wenger and the board have let our squad get so desperately thin. Even without the injuries we had no quality in depth!
Our bench is going to be so bad tomorrow, the fact that it's come to this is beyond ****ing incompetence, seriously, how the **** does a major club find and put itself in such a position? Something has to change at this club, and fast. Either Wenger needs to **** off, or a major revamp of the board and owner, sadly, neither are going to happen.
Don't worry, WENGER KNOWS ****ING BEST in the dandy world of apologists, everything's fine, nahhhhh, we still have 2 weeks to make signings, even though that means **** all for right now as we need the players NOW, not in 2 weeks, but NOW, before the season even ****ing began.
You can bet if we get a result 2morow the apologists will be basking in glory saying seeeeeeee Wenger is God everything is fine bla bla bla, not realising, that we shouldn't have ever been put in the position we currently are, with such a bare naked thin squad which could have had some serious repercussions (and it already has, losing 3-1 at home to Villa in our opening game).
To be honest, your 'apologists' comments are getting are getting very tiresome, they are also about as thin as our squad. I think just about everybody has said that we need to strengthen and that this summer has been a monumental **** up of a transfer window. I doubt anybody is going to be saying 'everything is fine' if we get a result against Fenerbache, because it's clear that it isn't. You're not really doing yourself or Arsenal fans in general any favours with this constant reference to 'apologists' as nobody is apologising.
It's on Sky tonight and the return leg is on ITV1 next Tuesday. If you don't have Sky and don't want to use an online stream you can get a day pass from SKY on Now TV for £9.99 and watch the SKY coverage online.
I've still got my sky - only got rid of espn I shall look forward to watching the game on a proper screen then!!
I'd have Rosicky in the hole, Cazorla wide and replace Giroud with Podolski if Olivier is having a bad day at the office after, say, 60 mins.
