Right, this is what we've all been waiting for. Forget West Ham and their shoddy ground, this is the top flight. A regular chance to go toe to toe with the big boys! Unfortunately, after analyzing City's dissection of a poor performing Toon we may be a bit up against up after their new boss has splashed something in the region of £90m around. The one thing in our favor is the stadium will be absolutely rocking, especially if we score. Can the City players handle the atmosphere - that could be key? Regardless of the result I'm confident Mackay's men will give it a good go <ok>

Not a good start for predictors at Upton Park last Saturday. The First Division couldn't manage a point between them. <laugh> The points will go to who's brave this season and both Blueturk and Swamp grab opening day CS to top Division 2. Well Done <applause> Mabs, BfB, musty and Siam also got a point.

A point would be good result!

    Cheers

I'll get the ball rolling. Hate doing this but can't see us getting anything other than a hammering here.

Cardiff 2-2 Man City..............Campbell and Whitts with the goals.

Sparkey stole my thunder. I'll go for 2 - 2 as well with Cornelius and Caulker to score.

Walk on the wild side, eh?

I was going to go for a hopeful 2-2 draw, then I noticed Sparkey had predicted this same. I thought hmmm and checked his last two seasons league standing...so 0-2 Man City it is! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Just occurred to me - what would dear old Proph/BluebirdBluemoon have predicted for this one?

Such a crying shame that Roy didn't get the chance to test his allegiances this weekend, though I've no doubt at all that his heart would have been with Cardiff.

Roy - you would have loved this one mate, wouldn't you. <ok>

All the signs are that we will get stuffed on this one, so I think it will be 2-1 to Cardiff. <yikes>

Until we sepnd serious money on left and right backs we're going to be in danger of being hammered by the big boys. However, I'm going ot buck the trend and, against my better instincts, predict a frustrating afternoon for Man City. A massive moral boosting 1-1 with Bellamy scoring. And then I'll wake up.
